From a historical point of view, Monsieur et Madame Moonlight Cottage would have been retired French Resistance fighters. I could see them blowing up bridges, being radio operators and such. Beautiful artwork.

My friends always tease me about having been born in the wrong decade, because the 1940’s jazz that you have playing at the beginning, is the kind of music that I listen to much of the time! 😂 I have lost count of the number of times I have watched this video. I love everything about it, and every time I watch it I see something new, something that I missed the time before. This is a huge part of why I find this so brilliant. Like any great work of art, there is always more to be revealed. Like so many others, I adore how you capture the nostalgia for this era, invoking all of the senses: the soft jazz coming from the beautiful vintage radio, the clinking of ice cubes in whiskey glasses, the gorgeous period costumes, the sublime sounds of pages being turned in 1930’s era French magazines…I could go on and on. But what I also really appreciate is the fact that what you are creating here is not a false nostalgia. In the course of just 20 minutes, you manage to capture the oppressive roles of women in this era, the reality that once loving marriages can very quietly lose their love (although appearances must be maintained.) The way that silences can sometimes speak louder than words…AND if that weren’t enough, you still manage to create many moments of wonderful humor!! Your experimentation in this video was completely successful and phenomenally realized. This is unlike any ASMR video I have ever seen. And I watch a LOT of ASMR!! 🤣 It is utterly original. Thank you for your consistently brilliant work. And thank you for fearlessly breaking new ground in the world of ASMR. ❤️

Diane, this is gorgeous. Reminiscent of a more simple, gentle (and perhaps healthier) evening routine. No screens, just intimate time with loved ones, a song or program on the radio, and some light reading. You continue to delight us with every video 💖

Your channel is like a anthropology series (with sequels to some) with episodes that are completely unexpected and mesmerizing and also a new way to define ASMR. Thank you so so much for being the moonlight to the night!!!

Brilliant! I’m dropping everything in the middle of the afternoon to watch because this cannot wait. Truly loved it all including the touches of humor! The radio being turned down was sooo very tingly to me.

Such a complex scene! It was so interesting to see such a beautiful setup with the commentary about the Parisian beauty industry and the little touches of domestic insecurity. There is more than meets the eye here.
