MERI KIRIHIMETE e hoa! He pātai pai! This is interesting because I have never actually asked the question 'What did you eat?' in Te Reo Māori. So please take what I say as a grain of salt, not as gospel, ask around some more because there may be more than one way to answer this. So for me: What= He aha? Why= He aha __ ai? So, Why did you eat I would say He aha koe i kai ai e hoa? What did you eat well I would say He aha koe i kai? I'm of the belief that even if what I'm saying isn't grammatically correct, as long as someone understands what I'm getting at then that's a win. And the rest I can tweak along the way. Kia pai tō wiki e mete ka pai.

@@EmbracingTeReoMaori Kia ora e hoa, e te pouako tino whakakipakipa. Ka pai ake pea ki ōku taringa ko tēnei rerenga: "He aha (t)āu i kai ai?" me te whakautu: "He ___ (t)āku i kai ai." Engari, me kī, kāore au i te tino mōhio.
Auē, he aha Delta i haere ai ki Aotearoa?
