Over the weekend I received a call about a real deal 1969 Road Runner that was for sale! Needless to say we went and rescued it. The car ended up getting a complete restore by a car buddy of mine, to live again!

Rescued many Mopars in my day go have a couple of them left good job the Rolling Stones song Emotional Rescue came off the album from 1978 sucking in the seventies it was the stone effort at disco I remember this because I received the album as a gift on Easter I was 10 years old I threw it out I had to go back to my Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath and ACDC

Had one in Highschool 1978, sold it in 81 after I joined the Army. Wish I knew where it was today.

Looks just like my brothers we drug out of a barn in 1978 and laid $150 for it except his was a hair better shape on body and paint and had the 383 4spd bucket seats etc. it was a bad ass car even with the small engine. I’ve been trying to find that car also. I’d love to have this one but I’m sure you’ve passed it along to another garage by now I’m sure!

The body looked more preserved than a lot I've seen. Be a nice video to see the old girls interior and a close up of her quarters.

Damit man. I really need to find a car like that bird. Not like most people find them fix them up and sell them for profit.( Bullshit). I would fix it to drive till I couldn't anymore. All id have to say about it is its all mine till I couldn't drive any more then turn it over to my daughter shes a driver also.well I hope u enjoy the car and not the sale of it.

It was a 440. The engine was supposedly built buy a local mopar builder here in our area of New Bern NC.

@@PoorBoysGarageUSMC ah ha!!! That explains it all right there!! That’s why we are seeing so much rust on your NC cars that I don’t see on my central NC cars brother! I was wondering why some of the ones your pulling out are just completely rotten cause that just doesn’t happen as bad in the area of NC I’m in. Do you know where the old Weyerhaeuser paper mill is over in new bern? I’ve got several friends ghat work over there ghat I have worked with over the years at other paper mills and would love to get over to see them. Last I had heard, one of my old bosses was the mill manager over there but I haven’t looked to see if they are even still running now. They ay have shut down due to flooding and then the 🦠 cause it was an older mill and those places don’t survive forever!! Great video brother!! It’s always a great day that you can pull an old roadrunner out of a barn, I don’t care who you are!!

Well we got the idea from when I worked out of a shed on cars lol. I moved myself up to we’re I am now through hard labor.
