You know it's going to get harder, and harder, and harder as you get older. And in the end you'll pack up and fly down south, Hide your head in the sand, Just another sad old man, All alone and dying of cancer. From Dogs by Pink Floyd on Animals (1977). Their most underrated album IMHO.

This is a funny one for me. I was walking through the living room and saw my wife had this movie on and it sucked me right in. I don't like slasher or horror or anything similar much, but as you said it didn't get to that for a while and the wackiness of the character development pulled me right in. I tuned out at the blood and gore but still thought it was unique and really appreciate you sharing your insights. Keep up the great work!

I've found peace with most aspects of life. Like Death or Maybe having to be alone but what gives me an existential crisis is suffering from poverty. Our society does not care if you are not able to afford the cost of living. Sure you might live to be 80yrs old? but it doesn't matter if our society REQUIRES you to pay a certain amount in order to live the most basic quality of life. That amount is getting more and more unaffordable for even the lowest living standards. That CREEPS me out. That our society is so harsh to someone who can't come up with a couple thousand dollars per month.. It's instantly OH Well sucks for them.. There's no resources that truly help someone stuck in poverty. Our society points and complains about the homeless issue (which is understandable) but how can we not take a step back & CONSIDER that this might reflect a deeper problem in our Society? I wish more than anything else in this world, that we could find a way to help the people stuck in poverty because once in poverty, it's very unlikely to ever fully get out and escape poverty. If we had some way of helping them, it could trickle down to other aspects of our society. Money can go to landlords, property owners, shops, corporations, insurance companies, towns, taxes, banks, etc. but if we just continue to let people in poverty be completely isolated, then we are increasing the amount of people who struggle to fit into society and we will see these effects trickle down throughout our society and economy as a whole. Like an ecosystem. So thinking about that gives me the most dread because I've always lived right on the edge of holding it together. It's also very stressful because it's so obvious how it's negatively affecting our society. Yet NOTHING is being done about improving these issues. Logically you'd think our government would want to improve these things but idk? Anyways, after considering all of this, i just can't help but wish that people could be able to live their lives at the most basic level of living without so much stress, restrictions, demands forced upon them. I just wish our society could at least have SOMETHING for those who deal with poverty but are good people and are willing to do, help, try anything. (I get it if someone is being an unwilling, negative, unhelpful person.. I understand that's a separate issue) That shouldn't get in the way of the other people who are willing to try and do things to at least get to live a basic life.. but right now our society provides no options, nothing and this freaks me out. Finland at least is trying somethings. While here Life is getting more and more unaffordable. Requirements for renting and jobs are getting more and more challenging. It just adds up to make everything more and more difficult to fulfill... I just don't think this is how we should have to run our society. I'm not against capitalism at all. It's just certain things can get out of control and i really think the way our modern society functions has become so dysfunctional and getting more and more unattainable for the average person and it freaks me out that no one is doing anything about this... This is what gives me an existential crisis. (sorry for venting. Being poor sucks)

People who watched it will know why I'm suggesting something like that. On the other hand, Pearl is great, much better premise all around.
