As a US citizen, I can only hope that we can steer ourselves back towards caring for each other, encouraging diversity, and try to make a better union than what we have now. We'll have a lot of pieces to put back together and it'll be hard and it may take us a long time. Just know in the meantime, there are people, including me, who are desperately trying to become better people to meet the time wherever we are in life to our best capacity.

Progressive, fought corruption, believed in worker's rights and fair living wage. I'm not too sure about your facts either since his family from predominately from New York. I suppose there may have been branches of his family tree from the South but that could be said about a lot of good people which doesn't make them bad....Bill Clinton, for example.
