A practical electric car in Kenya | Nissan Leaf Review

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

The original Nissan Leaf was among the very first mainstream electric cars to go on sale. It was such a pioneer, in fact, that by the time other manufacturers caught up and started offering EVs, Nissan was already on to this second-generation Leaf.
The first gen Nissan Leafs weren't so great. Kenyans most likely had these as their first interaction with an electric car, probably from a ride in the electric car taxi company, Nopea.
The Leaf Mk2 is available with two battery options. The first is a 40kWh battery, while the second is a 62kWh battery offered from 2019 onwards in the Leaf-e model. You can expect a range of up to about 140 miles from the smaller battery, or 210 miles from Leaf-e, which represent solid but not class-leading numbers.
Techweez reviews this 2nd gen Nissan Leaf and tells you if it makes sense as an electric

Electricity is too expensive in Kenya for electric vehicles if we're being honest. You can also survive with a thousand Bob on non-electric in a week. I would recommend getting a non-plugging hybrid for that amount of money. Great review though 💯
