This is such a great interview. Great questions, to a guy who has a WEALTH of knowledge in the finance industry. I have thousands of questions trying to figure out how to make life more comfortable, and often search for the quick way to a wealthy life, but the advice Dan gives is the advice I’ve always heard, to keep building long term. Great great advice and questions all around.

#1 piece of advice for giving yourself more short term satisfaction - increase your income! As opposed to trying to cut expenses or increase your investment returns. You have much more control over your income in the short term than what your investments will do

@@WardeMustangs another great piece of advice. It takes patience too I think in that area, as you have to have the patience to grow in a company/move up positions, etc. However, there’s always side hustles that can add. I’m sure you’ve also been given the advice of “work hard now or work hard later” ?

I'm pretty illiterate when it comes to finances. I don't understand what any of this stuff means, but I'm trying to understand! I've wanted to open a Roth IRA for the past couple years but life hasn't really offered me the opportunity to do so, career wise that is. As someone who is less than 2 weeks from turning 32, get started sooner rather than later! Even though I am financially illiterate, I know someone out there understands what you guys discussed and I hope they take value from this! This episode has inspired me to want to reach out to a financial advisor, once I have a stable flow of income that is. Fantastic episode! Also, it's crazy to hear that statistically speaking, Apple will crumble and die in our lifetime. Such a weird concept to wrap my head around!

If all else fails, saving $50/mo into an index etf in your Roth IRA will take you very far!
