the real way to use pivot points in day trading is if price opens below the Central pivot point wait for the tracement into the pivot point and then look to short it. If price opens above the central pivot point wait for retracement into the central pivot point than look for long. It works 90% of the time. Take profits near S1 or R1 depending on trade direction.

I thought about a similar approach when the price is half way through the distance between the piviot point and R1 or S1, than I open a pending order in the direction of R1 or S1 and Sl at the pivot point. Which timeframe are you using for this strategy?

That is how I use pivot points I am convinced alot of bank algos use pivot points in their strategies. However, there are many different ways to use tools and open to new idea.

started trading pp a lil while ago and i challenge anyone to backtest fibonacci pivot points and look for break and retest setups and see how accurate and powerful it is..i was blown away..im forward testing pivots all this year..for noobs...what is break and retest?...wait for price to break a pivot and wait for pullback it doesn't matter timeframe and i advise learn candlesticks like the back of your hand..i dont do trendlines,horizontals etc...just pivots and price...that's it!..study says pivots will be hit at least 76% of the time seems to be working well with adding to positions i didnt backtest that so not sure just been testing it out sorta speak but im really enjoy just zip through so many pairs..if price isnt at or near a pivot i keep it moving..this will absolutely help u stay out of bs trades..

Thanks for the info, great channel well put together and concise. Now working this piviot point concept in with Hi/Low of the day structure, sweetspots (which work well for GBP USD) trendlines and RSI and gaining some clarity an consistancy at last.

Great lesson, thank you! However, have you turned on extended hours on your charts while trading? As I have figured out, extended hours affect pivot points so you have different r/s levels when turning on/off extended hours. That's confusing.

i still use it, along with trendlines and classic triangles / wedges pattern, still effectively useful 👍

Wonderful _"how-to"_ video. Thanks for disabling the ads. In my case, most of the ads I see are from your *competitors,* anyway. Another thing about ads is that people seem to subconsciously associate them with your channel when, in fact, they're keyed to the *viewer's* watching habits.

I too believe this is a very powerful and after all simple strategy, I would like to know which is on your opinion the best timeframe to apply this strategy and how long for the1h and 4h timeframe the trade should be. It can also be used in a range but then the rules are R1 to S1 or S1 to R1.

if we are in an up trend so we will see higher highs and higher lows . when you will see the first higher low and lower low it is may be the time of down trend . الله أعلم

Depending on your time frame. If you are scalper/day trader, you use daily pivot points. If you are swing trader you are using the weekly and monthly pivot points.
