A Powerful Live DAWless Rig

This is my first go at performing on this new Live DAWless rig. I am so pleased with this setup and hope you enjoy the music.
I'm working on building my Live set so I can do my first solo show as a DAWless performer later this year. I've been in the music game a long time but DAWless is new to me. Please follow "My DAWless Journey" as I share personal insights and explain my technical and artistic process in hopes to inspire others on their own musical journey. If you are thinking about creating a DAWless rig of your own or just looking for musical inspiration, this channel is for you.

This came as a YT suggestion and I watched it with zero expectations, but the longer I listened, the more I was drawn in. Thank you for the positive time you gave me with your video. 🙂👍

Thank you so much. I'm new to this KZread thing and am amazed at the support I've gotten recently. It really does mean the world to me as someone who struggled with insecurities his whole life. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Beautiful unfolding work. Reminds me of LX Paterson/The Orb, whose work also prominently uses spoken work and other samples. This was terrific!

Thank you. I'm trying my best to keep it interesting and go in as many places as possible. This way of creating is very new to me. I'm comfortable doing arranging in a DAW, but doing it on the fly the arrangement changes every time. I love how organic performing this way is. I would never come up with this in my DAW.

Loved it, your mistakes only bring more humanity between the technology - as long as the music doesn't stop, mistakes are welcome. Keep at it!

Yeah it's working great. I'm impressed at how many directions it lets me go. It is a beast to handle though. I need many more hours of muscle memory before I feel it becomes second nature.

I'm so happy you enjoyed it. I had so much fun doing it and learned a lot. I really love how free it is to preform DAWless. It is hard but you can really just improvise the arrangement and go crazy with fxs. I love it.

Very cool - enjoying it now whilst working. How pleased are you with the Mixer and Zen delay? Guess you upgraded Digi II to next firmware - lots of bug fixing but still slow transfer!

I didn't even know they upgraded the firmware. THANK YOU! I'll do that today. I love the zen delay. It really is an instrument onto itself. I also can't say enough good things about the mixer. It has a special sound and flavor. Thanks for the. comment.

Thoroughly "like"-d. It's not a bad transition at all, it's just not the transition you wanted. Big difference. Listeners, let's make a vote for Gaijin-san: upvote this comment if you would have heard his mistake had he not pointed it out, downvote if no. (More downvotes = Gaijin did better than he thought at ~9m50s.) Not sure if this helps, but the mix gets real muddy at ~16:30. Vakarimasen. '-)

You guys are the best! I hear you on the mix. I need to learn to restrain myself with layering. Less is always more. I also squashed the whole mix too hard in mastering but didn't realize until after I posted and didn't want to do it over again. mai nichi tsukoshi zuttsu yokonatte kitteru! Everyday I get a little better

@@SoulSearchingGaijin I agree, never re-up. We learn nothing, and without the pain of regret, neither do you. If this was a live single take, you have nothing to be ashamed of here. Also, you've lapped me at Japanese!
