Dua deletes bad comments, threatens people who leave bad reviews etc. not an ethical brand and relatively overpriced per ml

Of all the negativity or complaints, this is the one I can agree with. Then again, some people just like to shut on things no matter what. So I can see if they’re removing shitposts. I don’t understand all the hate they receive from fragrance snobs.

Totally agree. They sent me a free bottle to make up for their customer service. Nice gesture really. I received the bottle, and it was terrible, Nothing close to the original. I'm not a snob by any means. I had no issue with letting it sit, like three months. No change. I left a review on their site... nothing terrible. I suggested it might have been a bad batch. Of course, it was deleted. I'm actually very disappointed , Ash is doing these. To each their own, and as such, I will skip his Dua vids.

I don't know what DUA does to its reviewers...but they all end up joining the cult. Reviewers "suddenly" forget there are other Indy clone houses and end up pushing DUA only. They are over priced. Hmm🤔I wonder... Let's see how many Ash reviews of Alexandria, Zoha...

I'm glad you made this video. Dua has come a long way. I own about 30 of them. The packaging and sprayer are much better now.

How’s the quality ? I was looking at some of their hybrids (Ex : MFK Grand Soir & Nishane Ani and others… They really have a lot) But I’m curious to know the quality of their juice ? How close are they to the original fragrances they take inspiration from ?

The quality is top notch, probably using the same ingredient as OG. I said about 90% close to OG but it has its own twist, some even better than OG

I have some Dua in my collection. I enjoy their interpretation of classic fragrances. Maybe you could just review their version of discontinued fragrances. That is my reason for buying clones. It would narrow the focus on their massive catalog and be a subject you (and I) enjoy. Great video btw. 🎉

I've enjoyed Dua's take on Romance, Acqua Di Gio (original formulation), and Boss (original formulation). I suppose I do consider reformulated to oblivion the same as discontinued.

I have a Dua collection myself. They have a hybrid called Poseidons Absolu Savage elixer. It is amazing. My number one complemented fragrance

I’m sure any fragrance house has fragrances SOMEONE won’t like. But I only have 9 Dua fragrances so far. I absolutely love 4 of them. I like the other 5 very much. I can’t deny the quality. I suppose it just depends on choosing fragrances that you actually like from Dua.

I use to love dua. Had about 25 fragrance from them. They changed something in their ingredients because all the fragrances had a very NASTY musty base. I brought two for someone as a gift and they literally gave them back to me a week later. Since then lattafa has came in a crush the clone space. Now I can't see myself paying $60 for a 1oz clone. $60 for 30ml Plus having to wait weeks for the fragrances macerate.

More like 6 months.

What a lot of people don’t understand about why Dua cost more than the average clone is because of the concentration of their fragrances. They’re higher than the originals and other clones meaning you get great performance. They use extrait de parfum which is the highest concentration a fragrance can have not counting attars (oils). Higher concentration = less sprays=not re-stocking your supply as often. It’s really just that simple.

Totally agree. I only bought a Dua as they had a remake of an old discontinued fragrance CK Crave. The Dua version was called Craveme. The Dua version although much thicker and heavier was so close to the OG only much better quality. Well worth the price in my circumstances. I was very impressed.

They're a great resource for discontinued fragrances that land close to the original. The fact that they use extrait de parfum concentration will change the way the fragrance mists, disperse, and dries. So, the fragrance will change some in practical use from that.

Dua’s absolu is great. I have many Dua fragrances and the quality is great but yes you have to let them macerate for a month or so.

So the Dua clone of Absolu Aventus has pineapple like Aventus and doesn't have grapefruit like Absolu Aventus?

Guys, there are other clone houses out there that do a lot better clones! I like Montagne and Alexandria myself! Please do some research before jumping full in on this clone house!

I have some frags by Alexandra that just don't perform and some that are great! So better is subjective. It appears no clone house is 100% infallible.

The scents as well as the longevity definitely improve after macerating 3weeks - 2 months, in my experience anyway.

Dua Brand obsevations: Clone accuracy is hit and miss, but quality is consistently excellent, in my experience. Lighter, more airy scent profiles sometimes do not benefit from the extrait concentration. Some bottles improve with maceration and some don't. After initial aeration, some bottles require a few weeks to mature and some can take months, often deepening in colour. Juice that remains in the stem between uses can become further oxidized, making you think the bottle has gone off until it clears. Dua is the best resource for many discontinued Tom Ford titles.

Dua has an insane amount of hybrid clones on their website, so many that I can't keep up with them all lol I do have a few of their fragrances and they're all pretty awesome. Bought Vert Instinct from them years ago (clone of the long discontinued Creed Green Valley) and a clone of Aventus Cologne. Their clone of BDK Wood Jasmin is EXCELLENT! Actually got that one from someone selling a bottle on Mercari because Dua's site has been sold out of it for a while now.

Azure Supernova 2.0 by Dua is my favorite summer scent. ADG Profondo +Elysium + Aventus tribrid. It's mostly profondo but smells awesome and lasts a really long time.

I picked up Bleu de Casino Elixir from Dua. It's a Tribrid of Bleu De Chanel, Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait, and Aventus by Creed. Wish me luck haha

I heard Rasasi Sotoor Taa is a clone. I have it and it smells great, but don't have Gucci so can't confirm...

Ash, Dua makes some great stuff, like any other clone house, sometimes they miss the mark but for the most part they usually do a great job, from my experiences. One clone that's needed for better longevity purposes is Gentlemen Reserve Privee. Maybe you could use your influencer status and push for them to give us a longer lasting clone of Gentlemen Reserve Privee, I haven't seen any clones on this anywhere so far. We definitely need a longer lasting Reserve Privee! Maybe even with a little more whiskey and a bit more iris!

Fierce cupbearer and poseidons desire 2. A couple of the best hybrids they sell.

I can say this, FORTUNE by DUA is FIRE.

Duas improve when you let them sit for a few weeks, I have around 100 Duas, I can tell around 70% of them improved with maturation, some more than others. The reason is, all fragances go thru a maturation process on stills at factories. Duas are assembled on order so they miss this time, allow them time and you will be even more impressed on how, must of the time, you can hardly tell the difference with the OG, and several times with a lot better performance.

Hey Ash, can you have a look at their clones of much more luxury fragrances like fragrance du Boi, they have a few Harold exclusive and a few very rare fragrances... I bought two which are on their way... one is called 'Exclusive Chypre Tier ' combination of Roja Harold's Exclusive Black Tier and Roja Chypre Extraordinare, I also got Saint Jean De Braye by Christian Dior, Dua's version is called a place in France... lastly they have an attar version of the old formulation of la nuit de l'homme, which I think you'd find interesting... it's called midnight rendezvous attar..

What are your views on 1 million prive ?

I can attest to the maceration. I have their YSL Lhomme Libre and Ultime clones as wel as the Elysium. The blend gets much richer after a month.

What a coincidence, I just received the Lataffa Liam blue & felt it smelling kinda oily alike, which reminded me of one of the first Aventus clone I ever bought, from DUA fragrance. IMO I disliked most of them, but everyone's different

I was a fan of Dua 4-5 years ago, but since then they’ve had some really questionable decisions and I’m not sure the price-value proposition is worth it for me vs just finding some great OG frags in bigger bottles. Dua bottles are 30 mL.

They recently released a Gucci Guilty Elixir clone, would like to see how it fares against the OG.... The original is still hard to get and basically retail price even at discounters

You happened to buy their stuff while they are out of boxes. And it's been many weeks so they have to use the bags.

@@GentsScents go on youtube and look up the recent TOP 10 dua and dua hybrids. i have like 20 bottles. love 90% of them and theyre beastmode. some more than others. i recommend picking summer/spring ones. btw carribean supernova is a favorite of mine too. you described it exactly how i feel about it and how it switches on the hybrid from opening to drydown

I have bought several fragrances from Dua. Have not been impressed with their interpretation. Tried Antaeus clone. Not close. Tried the Dior Homme intense and Parfum clones. Not the same either. Tried Envy clone and River Gauche. Don't have an original to compare. Hesitant to buy any further bottles.

I got kicked out of their facebook group for vocing my opinion on carrier insurance. I loved the group as we often swapped fragrances and gave our reviews. I was heavy into dua and purcheased over 150 from their website...i still have about 200 overall and rhere are some that i dont like and some that i truly truly enjoy!!!!

I have the naxos and the reflection man clones. I love them. They smell amazing and they last for ever on my skin. Easily worth the money in my opinion. At least the ones mentioned.

Nice review. I actually suggested in the comments to check out the Absolu Aventus Dua, it actually gets stronger after a few months. It’s a beast. From my understanding Dua starts sending reviewers bottles after they see you are reviewing them.

Nice to see dua getting props ,I swear by them, I've purchased over 200 I usually buy dua first, then if I'm in love I will buy the original, their clone of lidge is even better than the original formulations .
