At last a guy that has a collection that isn't rotting away in a field. I like that all of them are runners and not trailer queens. This is the kind of collection you can take out on the road and really enjoy owning instead of just staring at like museum pieces.

I "rescued" a '67 Travelall from a small town near me and put some work in to get it running and stopping. A 304 V8, Auto, 4x4 with the factory AC upgrade and a build sheet to show it was a true survivor. Same Apache Gold that this gentleman's is. Sold it to a local guy who was going to finish restoring it and drive it. So incredible how stout that 304 is and how darn good it ran even after sitting for over two decades.

Yeah, a Pontiac story! I also had a 77 Can Am. The scoop on the hood has "T/A 6.6" which is the Pontiac 400 motor. If the scoop has "6.6 litre", it is the 403 Oldsmobile motor (which you had to get in California).

Charlie is another example of what it is to be a good *steward* of old cars. Tom is correct - "car guys" just hit it off from the get-go, no matter the locale or brand loyalties. I love the accent, makes me want to have some "lobstah" too. 🙂 Tom and Davin continue to be the best Hagerty has to offer. Love both of their work. - Ed on the Ridge

As I'm a car guy too, worked at Coggin Pontiac in Durham NC when I was 16 yrs old , I co chaired the Homecoming parade and organized the cars for the Homecoming Court at Durham High School my senior yr. I had a '73 Can Am in the lineup. It didn't have the shaker hood, had a 400 in it with an automatic. It was very different and it was the only non convertible car for the Homecoming court.
