A Place to Grow: Affordable Farming in Connecticut

Connecticut Resource Conservation and Development (CT RC&D) has partnered with the Town of Lebanon and Connecticut Department of Agriculture to design a planning study toward evaluating the process and building a template for an affordable farming pilot project in the Town of Lebanon. The process evaluated two farms, Krause Farm and Our Acres (Randall) Farm in Lebanon, CT. The report has been designed to assist other Connecticut municipalities or sponsors who want to support or invest in a project of this type. This video highlights the goals and results of this project.

I’m a barber currently but really interested in getting into farming and learning everything about agriculture. I have 3 boys and would love to pass something down to them. Really cool video!

Awesome video. I come from a family of farmers from Napoli Italy, and Sicily Italy… my parents came to America with their parents. They kept farming in Connecticut just not big scale. We never had to buy any food from the store- anyway. I’m grateful for this video because it’s super helpful. Now it’s my time to carry the torch 😊
