Hello! It's been almost a year since my last video. It's hard to run into inspiration these days, and free time is, unfortunately, something I have less and less of as the years come.
It was hard to ignore inspiration for this one, though. Granted, it was left in the shelf for months and months. I started editing this when I found the song I needed for the concept I had in my head, and I was in love with it, but last year I took a break from editing as I was concentrating on my post-college graduation plans. Just a couple of weeks ago, however, I felt the urge to pick up this AMV again, and I was surprised to find myself working tirelessly on it, and then it was done sooner than I thought.
This AMV exists primarily because I love Haikyuu!! too much for my own good and, especially, I love Aoba Johsai and Oikawa Tooru more than it is healthy, probably, LMAO. But it also is, in a way, my love letter to this fandom.
If you watch my end credits, you'll see this AMV is inspired by fanfic, tumblr posts, fan playlists... These things have made me further solidify what I love about Aoba Johsai and about Oikawa. This AMV is the best expression I can make of my love for this show and these characters, as well as it is the reflection of the love I perceived through many other types of fanworks. Thank you for making this story into something even bigger, even more meaningful. I hope we can always inspire one another.
If this AMV can touch people the way newamsterdam's "bloom" and other Oikawa and Seijoh-related fanworks have reached me, then I'm very happy.
