Barracks vs Larva. That's the summary of TvZ in general!

Epic zvt - appreciated the insight on the small things larva did to bust the bunker rush, like exploiting the bunker attack priority and the consistent unload location.

I love it when Artosis looks at someone's base so we can see where they're at and then ZOOMS ALL THE WAY IN on a tank.

Incredible game. If you really split a game in half for a "too be continued..." gag i wouldn't even be mad.

Such compelling matches because the balance of who is ahead seems to see-saw so much. Each player so good with undaunted follow up plays after a failed attack, or calculated risk counterattacks to get them back in the game

The big group of lurkers on the right side instagibbed ~4 Marines but after that were just out of range of the rest of Barracks troops so T essentially got to focus fire two different groups of lurkers advancing at different times without receiving any volleys in return.

​​@@alexprajczer5997Terran? He had way too few lings and the lurkers from the left side were not timed well at all. The ones on the far right also burrowed too far away. Some more lings and more synchronized lurker run-up would've killed everything Terran had, with some Z army left. I'm surprised anyone, let alone Artosis, couldn't instantly see that those lurkers would die in that engage.

Change my mind on this: High tier TvZ needs firebats n vultures for mines to counter dark swarm + Goliath with range to cover science vessals. Like a dehydrated person needs water in the desert 🏜!!!

I’m wondering why the Terran doesn’t bring more SCVs to commit to repairing and blocking lings if they’re already going to do a 2 bunker rush.

I don't know why Terran pros don't forward 8-rax almost every game. It puts on so much pressure and if zerg slips up at all they just lose. Zerg has to do something drastic like pool first for 8-rax to have any risk.

The first game Larva won there was an attack in the zerg base that you missed completely. You were talking about 22 SCVs vs 16 drones, and the drones went down to 13. I thought he just made some buildings, but there was a small red dot on the minimap so I don't think that was it.

Artosis can you talk about when it is worthwhile to send an SCV to repair Terran mech mid game in center of map battles? I almost never see pros send SCVs for repairing, regardless of how many SCVs they have. I mean you can shift click to queue up repairs in bw.

You never see that? They almost always bring a couple SCVs with their push. Primarily to put down turrets in TvP pushes but of course they use them to repair as well.

One correction at 21:32: +1 attack on Ultras isn't equal to +1 armor on marines, as Ultras get +3 damage per attack upgrade. The +1 attack ensures that Ultras 2-hit kill the marines if they're not being healed.

Yep. For marines vs lings the armor and attack counter each other, though. Zerglings are way less threatening if Terran is 1-2 upgrades ahead.

Ok Spores aren't good against wraiths because they can still harrass SCV's. But what about defense against corsairs? Since you can hide overlords much better above them than you could do against SCV's Also, good counter to DT too isn't it?

There are SOO many games where I am screaming internally "BUILD A GD SPORE!" but I have to realize that the pros know exactly why it wouldn't be worth it most of the time.

A spore has the DPS of 1.5 hydralisks, and costs about the same as 1.5 hydralisks. The spore has better range and HP, but it's immobile and can't shoot ground. Against corsairs you'd rather have the hydralisks. It's good against sair/dt, though. It won't stop a fleet of sairs, but it's a detector that corsairs can't kill.

​@@ethansterling4317if you take into account the fact that hydras' explosive damage deal 75% to corsairs while spores do 100%, spores do 2 times hydralisk dmg with bigger range The rest i agree completely, they do be immovable, but lately Arty has casted a whole lot of corsair+DTs plays, with awesome win% I'd say
