I would love some sort of extinction/revival pack, based on recent extinct species and subspecies. The Thylacine, quagga, aurochs, Warrah, Nordern white rhino and cape lion would be some of my top picks

Barylambda was one of the first big herbivores after the dinosaurs went extinct. "Rhino-like" Herbivores started popping up rather soon after and kinda replaced it. I remember it from my dives into extinct mammals in an explicit attempt to learn about all the funky mammals I was missing out on. Glad it got to appear in a thing!

These mods are absolutely amazing!! I know "we needs birds" mindset has played since 2021, but every time I see the new bird on caupchin rig, it's like damn...we really do needs birds lol

So Hoplophoneus is a nimravid, also known as "false saber-toothed cats" (not to be confused with barbourofelids, which also have that nickname), but while they do exist within Feliformia, they sit outside Aeluroidea, making them less related to cats than hyenas. Given the fossa was also once thought to be a cat, it seems that's just a very easy path for large feliforms to land on, with hyenas being the outlier.

Thing is macaws naturally make a lot of the sounds the rig uses. So the sounds are spot on.

Yeah the legs are kinda wonky but it's the best that can be done at the time if you want parrots and toucans that can climb like they do in real life. I guess the peafowl rig would be more realistic for the animations overall, but even then, landfowl are also much different than parrots and toucans, and I say that having both fowl and parrots as pets and observing them for long periods of time every day, the way they move isn't the same at all, and Frontier for some reason didn't make the peafowl able to fly (even though they do fly in real life if their wings aren't cropped), so it can't use the same toys the monkeys and wolverine can. And parrots can learn the sounds they hear, so one making monkey noises isn't that unrealistic. It's more realistic than eagles making peafowl noises or pelicans making swan noises, and that's not the modders' fault, it's just that they haven't found a way to change the sound files.

Yea i agree! theyre super creative and doing a great job with working with what they got, but im gonna pass for now until a better rig happens haha. why isnt using the butterflies or bats for birds?

Those birds are sick! Wish they added some actual birds, the creativity would be crazy. W vid btw 🫶
