We’ll focus on the futuristic subset of the Y2K revival aesthetic (Cyber Y2K), revisit some of its influences (Matrix, music videos, industrial design, etc… ), and imagine techno-dystopian fashion of our own.

im glad us millennials and gen z brought it back so proud to be a part of this we even taking it further its crazy y2k is here its now it so fit today because with all the technology of today its perfect yes tic was so cool with fashion then blaque girl group and many More fit forward u have like Grimes and doja cat with the whole y2k futuristic vibes I dont think its going anywhere I got a lot of stuff to buy and im a fashion girl so stuff like this is up my ally
This is great, came here looking for some aesthetic inspiration for making nostalgic music videos but did not expect the wild conceptual rollercoaster at the end! Very fun!

You are describing your fashion house like the one in the Zoolander movie! It is "Derelicte" from the house of Mugatu! 😂 I graduated highschool in 2001 so I remember the cyber Y2K fashion trends well! I had the cargo pants , the tech pants and the mesh tops with funky Japanese designs. The spikey top buns check ✔️. Everything was metallic and pleather. I too can't believe that what I wore in highschool is what the teens are wearing these days. I also bought some cargo pants recently and tech pants! Does this make feel old? Yes, yes it does! 😂😂😂

omg yes! Somewhere deep down I aspire to start a Derelicte line🤣. I'm actually loving my cargo parachute pants (the same ones pictured in the video). I've had them for going on 2 years and they are my most worn item...sometimes I'm confused what decade I'm in when I'm in them

But, there weren't camera phones in y2k. Nokia 3310 was the iPhone of the time.

@teresachaotic.corner That was mid-decade though? Y2k means the year 2000. I was in high school 99-02 and no one had camera phones. It was pagers and Nokias.
