Its nice to see a gibson inspired bass with a PROPER bridge instead of that POS three point gibson use.

I use many vintage and new Gibsons and Epiphones with the three point bridge. Never had any problems.

This bass actually sounds a lot better than the Mike Kerr Signature bass. 😅 I can hear a bit more clarity out of the bridge pickup and with effects!? WOOOOO!!!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉

It is sort of a cross between a Dan Armstrong and an EB3. With Vintage you know you will be getting something well built and affordable. I see there is also a semi acoustic bass in the same series--also short scale. I'd love to see a review demo/review of that one too, hint, hint!

Inspired by the Ned Callan basses of the early 70s, designed by Peter Cook (the luthier, not the comedian) and endorsed by Jack Bruce.

Ok, I was expecting this to not be my cup of tea at all but that mini humbucker has a nice sound. Not sure about the shape and square edges though.

I have to say, I think that's a lovely looking bass personally. Elegant but heavy duty. As someone who already has a short scale with p/j ibanez, this would be a good humbucker choice for me. Not 100 percent sold Vs the Harley Benton HB 60 though.

How does this compare to the Epiphone Newport? It looks like it's all the things I wanted from the Newport just slightly better where it matters to me (bridge, intonation and weight mostly).

Had a newport in for 296€ new. Sounded okay. Needed setup. Was in for a hunt on a bass with Thunderbird pickup. For 300€ and a bit of love and time, could be great. For 500€ soso. Much preferre Squier Mustang Bass. Now this Vintage... Had a Les Paul copy a few years back I bought used. Those tuners were absolute crap. Too heavy. Not sure if this bass is a taker.
