What are your thoughts about the depiction of the West Weald in ESO? 🤔💭 Also, I must confess, I've never played Oblivion before!! I know right?? I plan to play it before I delve into Gold Road when that releases in a few weeks. Would that be something that you all would like to watch - an Oblivion playthrough/funny moment compilation (kind of like my old High Isle videos)? The only thing I remember about me briefly playing oblivion was there was a woman by the church who would only talk about tomatoes? Only tomatoes. The most passionate preacher of the tomato. I thought i could've seen her in blackwood cause at the time i wasn't for sure of the exact location, but after looking into it, i think it would be funny to see the tomato woman in gold road as an easter egg.

To me comeback to Skingrad is HUGE THING. I finally will have the Gold Coast complete. It was and still is my favorite zone in all Oblivion [Yeah i still play Oblivion] and Skingrad house was and is my favorite in that game. But is a shame the beautiful Cheydinhal and the charming Chorrol being traped on that ugly Cyrodiil pvp zone to date.

You haven't played Oblivion yet? Well, you should definitely play Skyblivion then, when it comes out in 2025. The old 2007 Oblivion would be too simple (graphically) to your liking. But it was fun, and it still is my favourite Elder Scrolls game. Hehh, it would be so funny to see you playing THAT game. Lol.

@@tamasstadler6413 Oblivion hasn't aged well. It's a mess and needs mods on PC to look good, Doesn't look or play good streaming on PS5 as a PS3 game. I'm old enough to remember it being a cutting edge game graphically and gameplay wise, but a lot has happened since 2006.

ESO should hire you to make them B reel. This is lovely. I had not gotten interested in the upcoming release from any teasers I'd seen, but you have me wanting to experience the world now. Thanks. :-)

The cut at @6:39 was so slick. The use of the original theme music was noice as well. 😊

I want to eat all the new Ayleid furnishings. The autumn vibe is charming, and Skingrad was always my favorite city in Oblivion (although shoutout to Bruma for giving me a statue after finishing the main quest). That is all.

I agree they definitely upped their game with the login rewards for the 10th anniversary. Hopefully it's a permanent fixture.

I got a little emotional watching that montage. Fantastic job editing. I love the "Gold" road aesthetic. I loved it when Ravnica in MTG did the same thing in 2019. And I'm looking forward to the next release very much!

Man their trailers look so good. Do you think they use a reshade or something? I have yet to see any ingame content that looks half as good as some of the stuff they put out as promotional material. Great video! I'm far from doing any Gold Road stuff but I like to stay updated anyway :)

Hmmm I don't think they use a reshade, but I have definitely noticed that they film the broll during the "golden hour" (riiight before the sun sets or after it rises in game) pretty frequently. The game looks really pretty around these times, and I make an effort to try to film at those times as well lmao. I'm guessing they also have their graphics settings maxed out ;p And thanks!!

I think they're definitely filming on an offline copy that can have better rendering settings. And not necessarily using ReShade, but something in-house that's similar.

Fingers crossed for some Sanguine action in Gold Road/West Weald. That's where his shrine was in Oblivion. The erp should love him. And he has almost no presentation in ESO. Literally the coolest and arguably the scariest Daedric rough kink lord.

I would say that it’s actually pretty casual as far as MMOs go. The overland experience, which is what was shown in this video, is definitely super casual-friendly. The more difficult content would be veteran dungeons, trials, and pvp.

Excellent footage and editing, as I've come to expect. As an Oblivion enjoyer, it's where the nostalgia really hits, more so than Skyrim. Even just hearing that title theme motif. So I'm ridiculously exited for this chapter. A ton of environments look new and unfamiliar though....so far it looks like more the latter, though. Not in a bad way. Just a new adventure. I wouldn’t worry if you haven’t played Oblivion because I haven’t either. I really enjoy playing Skyrim to the point I watch Skyrim lore videos on KZread & watch one KZreadr do play throughs of the game. I would honestly enjoy watching you play since I don’t get the time to. I was planning to play Elder scrolls, hopefully I will soon. You can criticise ZOS for many things, but the zones they put together are usually always impressive, and often quite beautiful for a game that is well north of 10 years old now (counting initial dev time before launch). Looking forward to this, the nostalgia hit and the gorgeous environs :-)

Now if only the overworld was challenging. Beautiful world, but wish it was more engaging...

Also! The Dawnwood area is SO good. I NEED some of those rooted viney pods as a modular furnishing like the Druidic bridge we have. And the big twisted tree and lamppost they gave us are amazing!!

So many of the furnishings and decorations in Dawnwood were incredibly beautiful. I’m definitely going to have to do some major renovating in my main residence once all of those furnishings are available on live!

What would you have liked to have seen them do differently?

I like West Weald, minus one issue (gave feedback on PTS and forums already): the saturation. Blues in shadows are way overtuned in WW when sky is blue. Juxtaposed with all the complimentary-color oranges, it looks out of place with the rest of Tamriel. Some of the trees are insanely saturated also, not fitting well with earlier autumnal plant furnishings. I love autumn vibes too, love the leaf pile! But I think the tones in places like the Rift and even Clockwork City feel more autumnal in a natural way.

DON'T do that, Ma'am!!! I won't get that Expansion for a while - don't you dare to make such a lovely so i will regret my decisions! STOP 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I love the zone but the only thing I just can’t get beside is the extremely bright orange filter. I get it, it’s to set the scene, but man it even started hurting my eyes when I was running through it. Way too extra. But, the zone is gorgeous

Looks very close to Oblivion. Maybe that's the whole point. ES games are all 10+ years old. Having modern graphics would look too different so they keep ESO looking like a retro game.

I don't want to be negative or anything but this new zone feels like a melting pot of everything we have already seen in the game (from what was shown so far). I guess that's not really the devs fault since there's so much new stuff you can bring in a new zone when the game is a decade old. Still a japanese-inspired location is missing imo. Would love a weeb zone with akaviri motifs and pinky flowers/trees everywhere
