I think Blockhorn would be ideal in those "Lab" close quarters maps where its shield would block enemy mech's paths or line of fire pretty ideally. Its speed really is a hinderance but its shield does make up for that.

This is exactly why I bought BH, but I’m a bit underwhelmed by its performance with a staggering 160% damage boost when the shield is active. I know BH DL16 is not a good fit for CPC, but I thought it would do better in 5v5 so that leaves only 2v2 then - bummer.

Ah yes, cripple a solid Guided weapon only to compensate for that handicap with a paid mech.
Game does not operate they way stated and Plarium Games/Aristocrat Gaming LLC has already been sued for game RIGGING
They are literally copy pasting the codes in new mechs
