Do I respect the dude for taking on insanely difficult projects and seeing them through more often than not? You bet your butt. I have mad respect for the guy, and he does cool stuff. I just prefer watch other stuff. Hes a cool dude though.

L880K, ball bearing turbo and all. A fine choice!! Don’t try to adjust the roof.. ever. 😅 If it squeaks and rattles, lots of silicon lube on the seals and maybe a spacer to tighten the clamps.

Not my experience?? When I first got my Copen the roof rattled heaps, quick adjustment later and its been fine coming up 3 years now, adjusting the roof was super simple

Now Moog has to get a Honda S660, the actual best JDM Convertible Sports car EVER MADE.

Props to you guys. Yes you have grown the show and have some amazing accomplishments, but the thing I have to give the most props to is you have kept the show grassroots. You still work on the ground with a jack and stand (like majority of car moder’s) well done Marty & Moog keep it going we need a car show that speaks to the people. The Chad.

ive been using those sized magnetic parts trays for small engine repairs for decades. they are so handy for not losing small bolts and screws while working on brush cutters chainsaws mowers gerators etc a bigger tray would be perfect for car stuff since they are larger and more to take apart and re-install.

Holy crap a Copen! I had one years ago, and I recently bought it back. It’s so much fun.

I bet someone makes em, but probably to order and finding them would be the hard part. But I bet it exists for these if they're racing em that much

Every single time yall post an episode like this, I'm like man I don't know if I'm gonna be interested in that. But I click it anyway, because MCM FTW. And EVERY SINGLE TIME it's always SO interesting, even if I don't care a single bit about the source(like Kei cars). Legitimately, how do you do this? You can't chalk it all up to natural presence or personalities...you legitimately make me feel your passion for this stuff, and it makes me think about my project cars. Props, lads.

I have been, though, a lot over the last few years, and it not just mcm that's helped, but it has been a massive part of my life to help me get back to to who I truly am. I have all the respect for All The MCM guys including turbo yoda (god) and Benny, moog and martie. You guys are so genuine and more of an inspiration than you will ever know. I had the LHD 1.3L K3-VE version in Germany as a daily driver and I loved it. I've never loved a car until I got this. The car is still in the family as a summer fun car.

I feel the same about my Honda Beat. A sporty kei car gives you the most smiles per mile. Can't wait to see the progress!

I've just picked up a N One RS Manual. Daily is Zook Alto RS Turbo. Also have a 595 Scorpionio with about 300HP and a 500HP GR Yaris. The Kei Cars are the most fun and dollar for dollar the best things to drive.

Yes! I used to have a wee 1.3 version one. Slammed it on BC coilovers and all. Wee stanced looking big and it was class. The one car I regret selling

Just commented the same. 140hp in this is 165hp/tonne. Not too shabby.

Throw a Sirion X4 engine in it and nearly double your horsepower. :P I like the orange seats, they really pop against the white paint.

This is great news, I've had a Copen for ~3 years so a set of video guides that are tailor made is going to be awesome

Perfect fit for small European city streets. I just wouldn't ever fit in one, not even with the roof open 😂

I just choked on my cone when this came into the garage. Im still laughing, most amusing indeed.

I lived in Japan for a few years and had a little Cappucino while I lived there. Really fun car, and by far the best looking of all the little cars I interacted with over there. Our "family" car was the Wagon R Wide. That is a fun one too, but we wore the bearings out of the rear axels. Too fun.

yeah, in Malaysia is quite common to see the Kelisa swapped with the K3VE2 (revs until 7.5k) or the K3VET (turbo) and they are brilliant engines and I love my car that comes stock with the K3VE and how much fun and just driving around with this under the speed limit

As the owner of a Mk1 Audi TT the first thing i thought when i saw one of these is, wow that actually kind of looks like my car. I would love to drive one of these. I imagine with some coil overs and nice wheels and tires this thing handles like a dream. Maybe some thick sway bars

Hey boys great little nugget, cant wait to see the improvements. Quick question, I notice you use the bucket filler to refill and burp the coolant, any reason you dont use the vacuum style filler? Seems like it is foolproof in being able to suck out all of the old coolant and refill without having to worry about air pockets, just wanted to see if I am missing something.

My wife had one of these, same engine. We are in the UK. Totally unsuitable for the UK, surprisingly, as you would think the small size and the fact its convertible would suit here. (Yes, the UK is very fond of convertibles, our weather is often more fair than not & and also not TOO hot for roof down action) The reason why is because our roads are poor condition and so it bounced and crashed over most roads, a lot of attention had to be paid on avoiding potholes. It was difficult to find parts and the oil filter could only be removed by a gynaecologist. And lastly, the rust, oh, the rust. We salt our roads in winter, the Copens came with no-rust proofing and it ended up requiring welding. Luckily for us, a drunk eastern European crashed into the back of it and wrote it off before it failed MOT (inspection) but it was a close call. Other than that, it was good fun and drove well, the engine did feel like it had much more to give if it wasnt so strangled with restrictions. It always brought a laugh when I borrowed it, of course there was the small minded homo comments occasionally because it looked like Barbies car to neanderthals but all you had to do was blow a kiss at them in return 😂

I had a feeling he’d get one. I mentioned he should get one and he was like “maybe… who knows…”. I’ve always liked the Copen and I’ve wanted one for a long time.

Im more of a Cappuccino or Beat/S660 guy, or of course the AZ-1. The Copen being FWD is a bit of a bummer for those little things but i do like the design! They had a 1.3L in some countries. (Edit: you mentioned it haha)

Trust me, the K3VE Copen is amazing, for real I own one, I've tested both and they are both great but the K3VE is better :D Amazing engine, have it in my '07 Sirion Sport too
