Edit: The phylactery damage and debuff is applied just before the spell connects and damage is processed. Its a separate instance that should be calculated before dunk damage, so even if it isn't being applied/calculated as part of your dunk damage, it should still help you get dunks easier. The exception, is when the enemy is below 150 hp, at which point the item activates the damage/debuff after the spell connects and deals damage, which should not affect your dunks.

I feel like he said it in simple english idk how you struggled to comprehend it. Phylactry damage doesn't apply before the ult goes on cd or in other words it's damage is not added to ult's threshold which is what he expected to happen since some chatters tend to say it's op on axe!

​@@famdownload5265it's been changed so it triggers before the ult, so people who were saying that it's op, they're right. But that does mean that if you use it at too low of an HP, you don't get the stack.

keeping that chainmail in your backpack for like 4 minutes over quelling blade and not finishing the wand was some real pain i had to feel. not the usual Qojqva experience where im learning this time im getting brain rot.

Feel like this needs to be said now that barriers are more common: spell amp doesn’t increase the kill threshold of culling blade, it only increases the damage done if the health check fails. it first checks if health is below threshold, regardless of barriers, and if it fails it applies the pure damage, which is increase by spell amp. You can see this most obviously on Medusa: if her health is within threshold, she Insta dies, but if if she is just 1hp above, the damage is applies to her shield first, and she’s likely nowhere near dying. For the most part, the difference in amping damage vs kill threshold doesn’t matter, but barriers like Medusa’s make it an important distinction. Also, phylactery damage is perfect for axe regardless of health. If the units HP is above 150, phylactery will proc first, then apply the culling blade. If below 150, phylactery procs after culling blade, but they should be dead by that point anyway.

Phylactery damage is applied before the ult so yeah if ult deals 500dmg and enemy is 600hp, they will insta die to ult with phylactery

Phylactery on axe is good when your mid is a poke hero like Puck or Ember. You can delay your blink because in the mid game the Ember/puck will do most of the initiating. Also good item on axe pos 4/5

Phylactery on Axe was better in 7.33b. Axe doesn't really have any early mana regen items, but it gave him +1 from int and sage's mask, plus the slow stacked with W to almost 100 ms and gave him some extra "burst". The meme happened because of a coincidence: Axe was getting attention because of the counter-helix rework and Clinkz was hyping Phyalctery/Solar Crest.

Pretty much yeah, more like a situational item, usually u either want a bm or blink rush, going vanguard into blink into bm is too slow

@@TheMartuxz Depends on what your role is. Vanguard is still a decent tank item. Crimson Guard can be a situationally good item(vs illusion heroes for example) and Abyssal Blade is a nice luxury item. If you are playing pubs then you probably want more snowball/solo kill build. Personally, I would build Dagon over phylactery. It adds spell damage and the nuke is nice for getting kills. Blademail + Spin + Kaya/Sange + Dagon + Ult usually means you can solo kill almost anyone.

I think axe without blink is bad because you take points in Q and don't max W. if you max W without points in Q and take move speed exchange talent. not only can most heros in the game just not fight you, you out run them no matter what. So trying to run away from axe is fucking impossible with help..... and not feeding him ult stacks is also hard because your bleeding for like 35+ auto spam until your below 275+

Getting blink or blade blademail earlier, the chainmail in backpack, going phylactery after getting a good lane, qojqva simulating trash offlanes... the title actually true its broken in the sense it does not work. Griefing sure +4 reports
