The guy that rear ended me on my 636 was texting while driving. Luckily I had on full gear it saved my life. I respected all laws and never sped on my bike I was waiting to turn and still got smoked. It can happen at anytime I was following all the rules of the road and still got taken out. I went down July 2 for the first time. I have a 2014 Ninja 636 I got in May. My throttle got stuck right when I was preparing for a sharp turn. I hydroplaned through the pothole with a lot of water in it, went through the intersection, hit the curb and the bike landed in the ditch. I couldn't slow down as much as I wanted after the pothole because my rim was bent and was shaking bad on top of all the water I just went through. God is good and it wasn't as bad as it sounds. The most hurtful part is the two cars behind me didn't stop to help and when II was waving people down they kept driving. I could have my phone for the first 15 minutes, and I was just sitting on the curb until someone wanted to stop. Hopefully I can ride again by the end of the month.

Nice ride as always and it's great to hear you've been reflecting on your riding man. I agree with you, not worth going fast and risking your life over it. In my early 30s and just got my 2nd bike from R3 and was between zx6r(top speed) and mt09(low end torque). Went with the mt09 cuz I just had the same conversation with myself about safety and too much speed is common denominator in crashes

yeah not really any need for a 1000 on the street honestly.. zx6r is a beast in itself more then enough power for anyone to enjoy
