Hence is why its good to use a pokemon with the ability damp to stop it from exploding and a pokemon that stops it from using any other moves that could harm it and you can use varoom to go through without moving from your spot in case the pokemon despawn but thanks so much for spreading the info about the 16 spawn in since I've spent over an hour trying and hadnt had any pop out just going on autobattle itself

Totally forgot about the Damp ability! I hadn't seen any videos on this, so I thought I'd make one myself. Happy to help :)

A Golduvk with damp could prevent the explosion. I did that to net myself a shiny Forretress.

I think I’m gonna try and use this method for Zorua

Or you could use bellibolt or any other Pokémon with the ability damp to prevent minior from exploding

Is there a place to do this method for duraludon or beldum?

Awesome video! Will this work with isolated groups of 5 pokemon? For example: the area i am at spawns only groups of 5 pokemon. Will a 16th Pokemon appear by itself?

Could this work for snivy? They dont have a good spawn spot- could you see somewhere to grind shiny snivy. Not forcing of course

I don't think it work with Galar-Slowpoke spawn area at the top of Coastal Plaza.

I actually accidentally fell on top of a shiny Horsea when I started the dlc. 😅 I never would have noticed it tho.

A happy accident lol. Yeah that’s what I mean, there’s some shiny Pokémon that are marginally different, it’s hard to tell at first glance

Pretty much the same for me expect I come across a small herd of ryhorn and one happen to be bronze/ orange I was like heeeeeey come back 😅 within minutes starting the DLC

3:31 you can avoid this by using a Pokémon that has the damp ability.

I’ve been trying this. Never once gotten more than 12 pokemon on my screen.

I’m wanna try this method for Zorua and I got one question. I hope I’m gonna say this correctly. Does the Pokémon that spawn behind you also count for the “16 number”? So do you need to rotate your view and count? Mostly I see videos or images with Pokémon directly in front of the player.

Yes, from my personal experience the spawns behind you count as well. Depending on the area you're in, you'll need to rotate your camera (if you can't get all spawns in front).

Does it work in paldea and kitakami or just blueberry academy?

In the middle of watching this vid i got a 2nd shiny turtwig from the same outbreak (with no sandwiches) ☠️☠️

So I’m finding 16 spawns on the map at one time with no sandwich active, and 100% no shiny. Tyrouge geodude graveler checking, and I’ll get a random deerling and sawsbuck but I auto them immediately since the other three are super easy to see. Any thoughts?

Sometimes the Pokémon can de-spawn themselves if they walk too far off screen. If this happens, it can make things a bit more difficult. It helps to have a wall to your back to ensure no spawns are behind you. What location are you trying this in?

@@MazzoraGames Have done about 9(as of now) hours of play since looking into it, the first location I found 16 spawns in was the canyon biome. If you leave from the center and head southwest diagonally, 3 map squares down in front of the charge stone cave entrance. Nothing spawns in the cave mouth area because it’s considered dead space and new territory line. Standing and just picnic resetting(no sandwhich active) has been consistently giving 16 spawns and 14, and it’s easy to see shinies because only graveler, geodude, tyrouge, deerling and sawsbuck spawn. The two deer I run over and instantly auto any time they’re up and because it’s only one or two at a time compared to the others which have noticeable shinies. I’ve also found this in other areas like the island where Tera trumbeak is, and the fast travel point canyon classroom in canyon biome- if you climb up and over on to the area lower to the split waterfall, you can consistently get 16 there as well. I think this is a similar instance to Brilliant shinies in SW/SH where we have a solid understanding of what and how to look out for things, but we’re missing a mechanic or data point that makes a definite “do this to 100% guarantee this”. Or like how the rolls in Let’s go got relooked at and found we were missing a slight detail on how the rolls worked from a data standpoint. With that being said all my testing has been done in the academy, and without any sandwiches active to see how it affects regular odds. No kitakami or paldea, also playing violet.

I haven’t tried this in an area with a Tera Pokémon, but I’d imagine it would still work..since I believe the Tera Pokemon are treated as their own separate spawn encounters. I’ll test this out and see!

Does it matter if you move your camera? Because I tried staying still but they wouldn’t all spawn.

I only move the camera if I'm not able to see all spawns on screen. Sometimes the Pokémon can de-spawn if they wonder off too far, so it helps to try different locations to stand in. When I found the Horsea, I tried a couple different spots until I found one that gave me the easiest vantage point (with minimal camera movement)

While I didn’t personally test it on an outbreak, I do believe it works. The max spawn rate (non-shiny pkmn) is 15 in any given area. I’ll test this out and update the comment with my findings. Edit: I tried it out on a Tentacool outbreak near the beach in the Coastal Biome and found a shiny Slakoth instead. I counted exactly 16 Pokémon! So yes, it works :)

The bottom of Chargestone Cavern in the area with the yellow spider webbing. Then make a sparkling power Bug sandwich (x1 cherry tomato + x2 Salty Herba Mystica)

Yea, I hunted minior a minute ago after watching the video, and I had 17 miniors on screen at some point. (two of them were shiny)

Yes, and after defeating 60 Pokémon from the outbreak it’ll increase your shiny chances further

I don’t think I have ever seen 15 on the screen in a hunt
