I found NL in Crendor’s blood bowl league years ago. He played Jesse Cox and all NL’s players got injured but instead of getting salty, he cracked jokes. I haven’t stopped watching egg ever since. I still rewatch that video from time to time.

This really is a sports-game. I find myself screaming at the screen yelling "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?! BUILD A CAGE!!!! FOLLOW UP!!!! YOU HAD BLOCK!!!!!!!!!!"

I just started a Gloomhaven game... INSANE. They did not lay out the rule book in a tutorial friendly way even a little bit. Game is wild though, so much value from a board game, and the scenarios feel perfectly balanced, we have gotten out by the skin on our teeth each time.

What I do for any new board game I play is look up a video tutorial for it on youtube or even just a playthrough and watch the first part to see how they get started.

​@@GEM4sta I've played a campaign with some friends, and the only thing that I have found to be unbalanced (to the point of almost game breaking) is one particular character. It's a supportive character that especially interacting with another character made every scenario requireing next to no thought no matter what difficulty we put it at. Essentially it doesn't matter what we are up against due to what this character can do. Other that that it's been an absolute blast. *spoilers about what icons these classes are follows* I'm talking about Music Note, and we played it paired with Cthulu.

@@theWebWizrd since I've played more the game and leveled up the game is much easier and aside from 2X modifiers it hasn't been very close, though I guess we could up the difficulty. Weird thing about this game is that the difficulty levels are offset with player levels so your character is so much stronger every other level.

I need this man to get in a league with Crendor, if he still does it. That would be content GOLD

There are some really good private leagues like REBBL. I understand not wanting to play with strangers, but the community is pretty tightly knit and it definitely beats playing in the open matchmaking leagues where many people are toxic as hell.

If I had to make a bet on this being the only bloodbowl 3 video to come out of this channel in the next year I'd put my life savings on it. This is a disaster of a launch. The only thing we can hope for is MAYBE a spark of interest leading him to see Bloodbowl 2 is actually in an awesome state right now and joining a league with some other youtubers. Not likely to happen tho

@@sergnb0 well Blood Bowl 3 not being in a great state on launch doesn't mean that Blood Bowl 2 is in a great state. Sure it's got all the teams and isn't buggy unlike Blood Bowl 3, but it still has the same old stale bash clawpomber meta. The state of Blood Bowl 2 is really not great imo. Not that it makes Blood Bowl 3 anymore playable XD

I initially found your channel through TotalBiscuit's Blood Bowl tournament. I think if you spent the time to learn Blood Bowl, you'd really like it.

I'm biased as a huge BB fan but I feel like Blood Bowl is an incredible bantz generator and I would love to see NL stick with it

Ironic that blood bowl has less rules then fantasy tabletop Warhammer and before total war came out people doubted it could be ported over to PC properly. This is why I'm still asking for a total war 40k people doubt until all you have to do is click your unit to move and you don't have to look through 4 different rulebooks to be sure that it's being done right. That's not even an exaggeration in some uncommon situations with modern editions

I'm not sure what you mean by this exactly. 40k RTS games have already been done, the problems with a 40k Total War aren't because of 40k, they are because of Total War's format.

@@evangelosvasiliades1204 I'm unsure how the format would make it weird. You see the only difference between fantasy and 40k is how formations are held. It'd genuinely be the same probably more dynamic maps if they want to include ruins but there's thematically appropriate planets for an all faction gameplay. If not they could make it. There's a massive degree of army composition in each faction so I doubt the general field gameplay wouldn't be similar. Yes! Dawn of war is a thing, they're all also incredibly old and I wouldn't trust relic to make them anymore after seeing 3 but look at the first dawn of war and tell me you couldn't play it in total war format. Don't they literally have a conquest game mode in one of them as well? That's just total war without building structures in bases. Edit: so also my original point was that NL said that he couldn't imagine this being in tabletop, when in fact it has much less rules than fantasy or 40k which both seemed to have doubters on whether or not they could be in game format.

@TTHJJD100 I don't think it's that crazy to feel fighting over some random world in 40k is nowhere near as interesting a campaign as fighting for 'the' world in historical total war or Warhammer fantasy. But sure I agree that sort of mixing macro campaign and battles can be done easily. Moreso it's the battles I meant. 40k would rely on units that aren't nearly as large or use formations, it needs a cover system and a system for handling vehicles. All of this are things rts games have done (I quite enjoy wargame red dragon for a modern warfare rts) but not things CA has experience with. And if they did, the battles would have nearly nothing in common with their prior games. So I suppose it comes down to whether or not TW to you just means battles + macro map. As for the last point, yeah, I hear you. Although it's not the same because Blood Bowl the video game is just a direct porting of the tabletop game. While Warhammer Total War is not literally just a video game version of WHFB.

@@evangelosvasiliades1204 there are already vehicles in Warhammer total war though, not just siege gear, but flying and ground vehicles, between the empire, lizard men, skaven, and dwarves alone you have a couple handfuls. Also the unit cohesion would be the same but at smaller size which isn't impossible for CA remember there's an option for unit density. There's already cover mechanics as well as line of sight. It's why your archers and gunners can't fire at some angles and spots. The only thing I see as an issue for them would be the shooting ai which I've seen has improved over the three iterations we've seen. I'm not disagreeing that it would be difficult for CA to make. But I'm also saying it's definitely wouldn't their skillset, there's Warhammer gladius which has been pretty successful at making a 4X 40k game, that isn't even remotely close to how tabletop is played but people enjoy it. Hell Warhammer fantasy isn't close to how total war is actually played but people still enjoy it. It's about bringing the game to life as close to the original product while still bringing it into a more lively medium. Plus if people enjoy tabletop having another video game isn't going to somehow polarize the community
