    INCREDIBLE squash from both players

Not often we've seen so much excellent retrieval work from Willstrop. Though he always looks so hilariously ungainly doing it! One of the more inspiring things I've seen in squash is Gaultier's evolution from this constant emotional see-sawing throughout his early career, to the mental toughness of his later years. He went from someone you could count on to lose his composure if it got close, to a good bet in a five-setter. Kudos!

yea they saw that incorrectly. Gaultier should have won it there.

Gaultier tripped Willstrop during his splitstep, making it look like Willstrop went the wrong way when in fact he would have had a neutral balance. Easy let.

@@M0odez Well, you can also say that Gaultier simply executed his shot, and Willstrop tripped into him. At 9:33 it's a very similar situation and no let was given.

@@zzimp1 Interesting; given the previous decision I agree I'd rather see consistency. I'd give them both as lets because it's all clearly accidental contact preventing the return of a non-winning shot. I didn't mean it to sound like Gaultier was at fault for tripping Willstrop, and likewise I don't think Willstrop is at fault for "tripping into" Gaultier; reality is accidental interference or "traffic issues" are part of the sport.

@@M0odez Both situations Gaultier was not impeding the path to the ball, so I would call both a no let. Yes it was accidental by Willstrop but he went the wrong way to begin with

At 2-0 that was a stroke 10/10, the ball hadn’t gone pass Gaultier and Wilstrop failed to clear

Alot of talk about biased commentating, but it's not just these guys. I've heard soooo many PSA people fed up with Gaultier's lack of clearing the ball. And antics.

That's maybe partly the reason why Gaultier yelled "Quelle bande d'enculés !" which means "What a bunch of motherfuckers" ... a bit sad though.
