You are correct about Tibetan refugees in India having maintained their distinct cultural identity in India. They have not disappeared among the 1.3 billion citizens of India but, are living and flourishing as Tibetans. As Indians we have no problems with this. We proud on our tibetian brother and sister.... These brother and sister are in special forces which is deployed in high altitude areas and they played very important role in 1971 war... On geeta it is said if you born in bharatvarsh ( indian sub-continent ) Then it is result of our good things. That you have done in your earlier life.

Tibet is another country different from India but when china captured the tibet through force, India came in between and allowed the tibet dalai lama, his followers and Tibetan citizens to live in india and follow their culture and traditions without any force. Bharat has always provided refuge to all persecuted people. The prophet's family, the parsi(Iranian Zoroastrians), jews, sindhis, tibetans, bangalis from east Pakistan, bohra muslims, afghans, baloch people. All are allowed their culture and can live freely. We don't refuse anyone. The first mosque in the world outside arab world was built in India by Hindu king for arab merchants in Kerala. We even let our colonizers whether islamic or christian choice to stay in India during partition. We love our Dalai Lama and his people and will nurture them till they can return to their land one day like the Jews. We will help free Tibet. It will take some time but it will happen.
