A Museum Quality PRS Private Stock?
A few weeks ago, I received a call from Paul Reed Smith himself saying “I have one of the most beautiful guitars we have ever produced in front of me”. Paul said that this guitar represents exactly what the Private Stock program represents - one off, museum quality creations.
Paul Miles and I found this exceedingly rare piece of bursted-grain maple in the Private Stock Vault, but it had a funky pattern in the center which I had the idea to cover in variegated 24k gold foil so the rest of the top was useable. This work of art is the end result.
Instead, this guitar is receiving a front page feature on Reverb.com for its stunning beauty. Get it while you can, because as both Paul Smith and Paul Miles have said “even if we could get this piece of wood again, we would never replicate this guitar, it’s a one-of-one”.

why chrome nickel covers with a gold top and not special golden variegated golden pickup covers?

It doesn't belong behind glass in a museum anyhow! A beauty like that belongs in the collection of someone who's going to really love it and give it a good home! I love the gold screws in the chrome pickup covers. Such a cool little touch to match the gold foil!

That is a TOP only a Mother could love....
Just wow! This is a work of art IMHO. Has Paul tried other museums? Ritter has been displayed at three but just not at MoMA.

Stunning. There's nothing like a good top. Sounds like something Hugh Hefner said. MoMA says guitars aren't art ? Have they even been to a museum ? :) February 2020 - The last month of the old world when things were normal. Ritter has a bass in the Smithsonian, and I wouldn't be surprised if Alembic is on display somewhere.
Also easily the best demo from Baby Jay yet. That guitar sounds like a goddamn angel dipped in honey butter.

What did it sell for?
There are the best PAF's made since 1959.
Call me crazy but the gold leaf effect just isn't doing it for me. And the piece of wood on the back.... I've seen nicer looking pieces of backing wood on SE guitars. This one's not doing it for me. I will say that is the nicest head stock they've ever done.

Brazilian rosewood fretboard 🤮 Shouldve picked cocobolo also won't have the Brazilian rosewood exchange crap it has Cocobolo way more beautiful too a variation of rosewood family and prettier name
