One of the very best episodes of a truly outstanding series! Very nicely related with the girl on the train and the quiet conservative man. I will definitely watch this again! Thank you for posting @

Seems the people against her execution were more concerned with her children than she was. Same things go on today.

Murder suicide....the hanging was her suicide. This is a classic, "If I can't have him...no one can." They abused eachother.

Men cannot be hysterical because that term originates from the same root as hysterectomy - it was a term invented to describe women's behavior. That doesn't, however, mean that men cannot be irrational.

By the way she had a second child a daughter that she apparently had nothing to do with. So not only did she not care what happened to her son, her daughter didn't mean anything either. She made her own decisions and her own problems. Yes she had a tough childhood, welcome to life.

Saying that a man was a father with 2 kids has never stopped the death penalty. Why should it be different for a woman who planned and carried out the killing of her boyfriend willingly. What she needed to do was get clean and find a better way. She knew the law at the time. She chose revenge over her children.

It would be interesting to analyze this case through battered women syndrome and see how the psychology matches up.

Whomsoever had intentions to kill/murder, and then carried out the kill/ murder with confession should be GUILTY as charged. Ruth Elllis wanted to have ultimate control at the end by killing. Her very own words to be with him (again) after death in execution. She should leave this toxic relationship (David) for both herself also for her son. David Blakely doesn't respect her. If only Ruth respect herself more & leave this man who didn't respect her and choose man that LOVE & RESPECT her. She herself couldn't care about her own son future by choosing to kill, thus made her son orphan. He was horrible person, why choose to be worse than him??? "DON'T DO CRiME" 2023Jan14th, Sat

You don't punish murderers by murdering them, if you behave in the same way you can't separate yourself from those you wish to punish. No one gets a pass, the British government included, no one has the right to decide who lives, + who dies, no one...........
