As a grateful enjoyer of Agatha Christie's for over 60 years I wish to give a humble opinion: A Murder is Announced is an outstanding work for Joan Hickson to give a tour de force performance with so many female characters for her to portray with consistency and nuance. It really is as if there are multiple actresses in this production. What genius!
