A Mother's Song - Kechi's Story (from America's Got Talent)

UPDATE 6/19/2017: 2 Years ago I was so moved by Kechi's story I wanted to see if I could explore it for a short documentary. I reached out to her and she was open to it. I traveled from Atlanta to Houston not sure what to expect but she welcomed me with open arms along with her wonderful family. That's how I met perhaps the most powerful human being I've ever known. To say the least I'm so proud of Kechi and always think about her when I'm going though my own life's challenges. Her passion for life means so much to me and many people she continues to inspire. This little video we created remains one of my most powerful/meaningful/passionate works till date. You can watch Kechi on America's Got Talent. Wow Americas got talent just brought me here and got stunned by this story. I was in Nigeria way back when it happened and till date never heard there was a sole survivor in that crash. Kechi if u are reading this, I want u to know that ur beauty will never fade like a flower... continue to bloom and grow because u are truly a rising star..... continue to shine and never give up on ur dreams... I am waiting to hear more of ur exploits in future. God bless ur sweet heart...

Her strength is so inspiring. You go girl! After all, you are still beautiful. Mama Kechi, you are a great mother and great she is making you proud still. The devil tried but you won. It was surely one of the darkest days in Nigerian history. Not cus of the number of deaths but what the children went through to their deaths getting zero help. Making evident the malady of a country's government. May God keep strengthening you and all the other victims' families especially the Ilabors.

Kechi was a girl of God and she is the human being and a singer and a recording artist and Kechi lift up her life 💯% and listen to this she was graduated back in a decade she was a God's miracle and a survivor and she still sings beautifully like an angel 😇🎊😇🧐😇🎊😇🧐😇😇💯💖😇👍😇🎊😇🧐😇 now she's on AGT America's got Talent 2 years ago she was very emotional and her mother Ijeoma left her daughter up into a top of her room she's in heaven a ray of rainbow 🌈🌈🌈 lights that lift Kechi Okwuchi up in the clouds and she will fly like a Supergirl, yeah that's we did highway to Heaven seasons 1-5 and a giant thank you to Fremantle, Syco, and NBC for bring Kechi Okwuchi to the AGT Stage throughout the past years and she will continue to do on her best.
I understand and appreciate all you have been through, I have worked at Level 1 Trauma - Burn Unit 🔥 thank God I had so much information To gather strength from you are loved by me and many others 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤

@@cherissemayers6031 Real because of faith. We understand you but you do not understand us as Christians. Don't blame the Lord for all tragedies of life. After all, we are all going to die. If He is not real then we have nothing to lose. But if He is real, then you will lose everything. And if you continue hoping that He is not real just for your sense of comfort, then it's up to you. You are taking a big risk. But don't blame Him or don't use the tragedies of life just to prove your atheism, coz that's the nature of life.. full of sufferings in different ways like physically,mentally,or emotionally, regardless of religious beliefs. God allows them to happen temporarily in this life because it will worth eternal and incomparable joy in the next life which is our ultimate life. That's why you better get yourself ready. Life is short and full of mysteries. But you only need to open your heart to the reality we are all sinners and we need Jesus who paid the death penalty of our sin unto our eternal salvation.

Kechi, what an amazing girl you are. After surviving such an horrific crash, & managing to pull through, you are so incredible. Your singing is so beautiful as you are yourself. No matter what, I'm sure you'll bravely pull through from your wonderful mom. I know she is so special & proud to have you. I wish you every happiness & love with all my heart. xxx
There is a reason and purpose behind EVERY thing even if we dont like or accept it or see what it is. Nigeria has opened their arms to the Lord in such a way that is unbelievable and for sure Kechi has more stuff still to tell us. God bless her and her family

My goodness she should have been sent to the best burn center in the world. May the family stay blessed. I know her other child was a survivor. We love you, momma, Kechie and you sibling. May your life may be filled with joy and happiness for you all. May they find new ways to help burn patients repair. May we be blessed to have that genius comes along who knows how to help patients like Kechie and her sibling. So glad you got exposure in AGT.

God wasn't ready for Kechi and he spared her life for this very purpose to tell her story because we do at times take life for granted.
Kechi was so lucky and the other survivor, it was very sad💔. I would be happy if all of them survived🙏🏻. I always get scared of getting in a plane but im now not scared. First all i do is when u go in the plane i touch the plane and just said "In the name of Jesus" then when im at my seat i pray before taking off. I learn this from my auntie and mom and i always will love my family and u guys🙏🏻❤️💜💙💖💓💘💞💗💖
