I decided at the last minute to do an overnighter wild camp at Llyn Bochlwyd, a glacial lake above Dyffryn Ogwen in Eryri (formerly known as Snowdonia). This lake sits higher up than the more well known Cwm Idwal, a favourite spot for climbing enthusiasts............................... I'd never actually visited the lake before though in the past I had looked down on it from the higher ridges.............................. The weather forecast was good, but in the end, completely wrong so the rain which wasn't forecast arrived in the early hours after quite a good sleep.
