A Midwife's Tale trailer
To understand eighteenth-century America through a woman's eyes, historian and author Laurel Thatcher Ulrich spent eight years working through Martha Ballard's massive but cryptic diary. It chronicles the interwoven stories of two remarkable women: an eighteenth-century midwife and healer and the twentieth-century historian who brought her words to light. A PBS American Experience film. Blueberry Hill Productions www.blueberryhillproductions.c..., Filmmaker: Laurie Kahn. Mass Humanities funded this film project in 1994.

Great doc from American Experience.
I wish there were many more of these stories revealed through mass media publications. I enjoy these true life stories of the the past here in the United States, particularly in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Excellent work from the producers of this educational film about Martha Ballard.

I'm really surprised there hasn't been a multi-part series taken from the diary of Samuel Pepys. The amount of drama, comedy, and riveting important events in there is incredible.
According to Blueberry Hill's website, this is the opening sequence, not the "trailer."
