Thanks Michel 😊 when things go from total chaos back to just chaos, then I'll be OK. I have to admit that I'm a bit OCD when it comes to neat and tidy but I'm ok with dirty and oily 🤣

Cheers Matt ! Still very early days with the channel. Mt Factotum and Paul (Knacklers Workshop) have been coaching me and its thanks to them that I'm this far. I'm not overly impressed with what I've uploaded but keep trying to improve my content so it's really great when someone like yourself comes along and shows appreciation. Thank you !!!

Welcome 🙏. With a description like this how could I not subscribe. My little channel workspace is not even remotely as tidy as yours. Great machine selection. Looking forward to watching. Very nice job on the DRO install. In my defense, I have a new shop in mind just waiting for prices to moderate from the current hysteria. With that said I have years of projects piled up in a far too small current space. Or as we Americans like our metaphors (eight pounds of flour in a five pound bin). Then there are the horizontal surface demons working every night to foul every possible inch of bench top - LOL. All the best Dan House of Broken Dobbs Things

Dan! Great to meet up with you 😁 We have demons too in Wales! The one that occupies my little shop is a pencil monster. It has been known to take the odd vernier too and hide them! Prices of materials here are also ridiculous at the moment and very prohibitive if you have major projects. Will seek you out and obviously subscribe. All the very best Neil .

@@NellsMechanicalManCave Nell very nice to meet you as well. I am just south of Detroit in Michigan just off the Great Lake Erie. Yes, our metal prices are high but I made nice with the boys at the local metal salvage. Odd pieces can be picked for by the pound. My main delay is in lumber prices. North America has no shortage of renewable wood resources but things are off the rails at the moment. Maybe next spring. For the moment my shop space is warm and dry. Yes, what is it with verniers and digital calipers. Only the scribe is more reclusive. There is a rumor ( I just started it) that these devices are linked to some odd form of pocket dimension where they drift in and out of with our reality… LOL. Disclaimer: I am a mechanic who is trying to learn how to use machinery. Along the way I fix a variety of other items. All the best Dan

Dan, I'm a mechanic too, or was. I picked it machining because at 2am there are no shops open when you need to get a shaft cleaned up. Admittedly I was the on call mechanic/fitter in a large facility, but needs must when production is at steak. I'm a spanner man and fabricator by trade, machining is very new to me but I will turn my hand to anything to get the job done. My methods might not be orthodox, and some will frown, but I will make things work again 😁 Cheers Neil 👍 Yes lumber prices have doubled here so p

@@NellsMechanicalManCave Then you will be right at home on my channel. Some recoil in horror as I use a 3/8 ratchet to tighten my lathe chuck…LOL. Just no chance to make a proper key yet. But as a mechanic we can do amazing things with whatever is within reach. I use a ratchet wrench on my Rockwell Mill knee adjust. Much less space required than the proper crank handle. LOL. My Dad (since passed) was a welder fabricator in the Pipeline industry. However, Dad was all thumbs in the repair side. So, perhaps there is a latent modicum of his talent buried in my DNA. LOL.

Hi Ade ! That's mad 😁 I live sort of half way between the two, Malpas. The Shop is still evolving at the moment. I'm quite new to machining and learning the ropes as I originally come from heavy engineering and maintenance. What I want in there and what I can get in there is a challenge as its at the bottom of the garden on the canal. Watched and liked a good number of your videos Ade, really impressive work. Thanks for your comments and support. Cheers Neil..

Some really good people in this community that I'm getting to meet . Think it's Paul Michele and Kevs fault ( Knacklers, Rustinox and Mr Factotum) and of course Ian Matthews, what a star! I will look into stickers, see where to get some made. No point in going backwards now because as you well know, the Welsh don't retreat and stand by their allies 😉 Cheers Neil !!
