An insanely brilliant work of art… the comedic and tragic aspects of life condensed into 15 wonderfully entertaining minutes. 10/10!
Isn't that just what people do though; spend to the edge of their means and beyond into to debt. They put themselves on a hamster wheel and just get to running, soon they can't stop without loosing everything. Well told, great story! Thanks!
Its a metaphor for life....... Oftentimes, people are conditioned to do nothing, even when conditions are harsh...... it takes a long long time before people finally decide and are brave enough to make a change.

That's a good way to see it, also I think it's about the life we waste grinding away. Really is sitting in a chair for years much different than most of the jobs people do?. When he finally stood up from the chair he was fired almost like saying, don't step out of line in life and follow along like everybody else and don't think independently or you will be fired from society.
Ten years just to add one line to his CV. "And why did you leave your last job?" "I stood up." "We'll get back with you, (ruffles papers) Mr. Vidal."
With the cumulative 30 percent raise, he was a rich man by the time he got fired, with more than 20k euros a month pay.
That's so acurate for so many jobs today.

Every job in a way like get up against the system. Money doesn't equal happiness but really life isn't about happiness when you think about it

@@Timetowakeupmofo well, if you think about it, the life it's designed and given to us, and sustained by God, the creator. Wether you believe it or not (yet), there's evidence for that. So in that case we are created for a purpose that is to glorify Him. And one of the ways we glorify God is by being happy, by having joy in all we do.

@@ionutneda6964 yes I see but also to glorify God we have to grow and growth is deeper, faster through suffering(sanctification) of ourselves. It's like when bad things happen to good people it's a lesson that we all need to do better as a whole. Happiness is good but fleeting the same as bad times don't last but it's in the bad times, are the greatest lessons.

Nada. How a highly motivated human being becomes imprisoned... I feel it in my bones! Great work!
Most people couldn't handle a job like this.waste of time and life doing nothing even if u are being paid.
I've recently been obsessed with watching short films on KZread, and this one is probably the best I have seen so far. brilliant!

Hahaha same!! My kick started today. Not mad about it 😂😅✌️🍰
The amount of courage one needs to step up to change... laid bare with such manic episodes its the irony of a meaningful life.
Reminded me somewhat of the Government Job I had where 3 years; except that I had a Desk, a Computer and a Telephone. No IN Tray, No OUT Tray, No Duty Statement describing My Job, No work of any kind. Just 3 years of absolute boredom for 7 Hours and 21 Minutes, Monday to Friday.

Now we know why taxes are so high and the government’s employee numbers so high. All in the name of creating employment so statistics can be fiddled.

I did a similar government job back in around 1990. Only lasted less than a year. Only saving grace is that I could listen to the radio. That is the only thing that kept me sane.

Security at the social security office. Just sitting down in front of a computer.
This was a great short and the actors, especially the protagonist, deserve a lot of respect. A great metaphor for a life of an office worker.
His face when he got fired 😂😂😂😂
This is on point and definitely one of those creations that needed to be made.
What does he care now, he wants to get up and has money in the bank. Very funny. 😅.
To sit for 10 hours and do not a single thing can’t even go pee or eat…I just simply could NOTTTT

I was hired as a lab chemist and spent my first three months reading SOP's. Mostly stared at a cinder block wall. I would sometimes find myself drooling and enjoyed the feel of the saliva running down and dripping off my chin.
We see how important the small interactions are, the cup of coffee, getting up going to the printer and being able to pee when needed…..
Just like real life 🤣
I'd go STIR-CRAZY!!!!
Superb metaphor
The ending should have explained why the "job" existed... kept watching only because I thought that loose end would be tied-up.

The less you do in this life -the less you happy. The more you do good for needy people in particular the more feels you live a life not just sitting in chair.
el mas hombre de ellos es aquel de pelo canoso! pudiera ser uno de los trabajadores mas viejos cuyo papel es vigilar sin ser visto, creo que el lleva mas tiempo alli
OMG, it took him one year to figure out a diaper and a water straw.! This man deserve that job.!
Such a creepy and sad story.
At least he cab draw some unemployment now. Blessings! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Que triste pobre Hombre
Fantastic
THE EMPLOYMENT DREAM - WOW!
He should have invested the money, keep expenses to minimum, quit after achieving financial freedom.
We can do some great things even if it seems we are doing nothing.
but by doing nothing you are actually doing something...
This movie had me almost peeing my pants.
They both have the same job.
Super weird But my perception That person is human, interviewer is destiny His commitment and his loans are his trap Chair is the illusion His mindset is trying to get out but traps never allow him to do, his mindset is voice of god Destiny gives the path, traps and commitment never allow to chose the different path, we never follow our inner voice, ultimately we lose our lifetime and when we decide lot is lost
He is a very handsome man...especially when he grows the beard!
At 10 years it’d be €250,000 per year. 30% compounded annually. But what was the objective and moral of the tale?

I am wondering too. He got more into debt, wife got child, was his. Got a dog, wife left him. He stood up.and his income left too. Yes, he was being watched. Saved the company $$ as the security guy quit...at the end, still a job, got paid For doing no production but got screwed by wife. Jobless, old and with child and a dog. No benefits? No vacation paid?

That's basically life. A hamster wheel. Same old same old. Basically the same work day over and over. Maybe some variation, but even in the variation, there is a pattern. Other points: Then you have people living at the edge of their means, then boom, fired. Spending too much time living to work and not working to live. Not taking care for your needs, not setting healthy boundaries with those close to you leads to trouble. You should set some $ aside for the future. Even when you think no one is watching...you could be wrong. People can get fired for dumb reasons. Sometimes quitting a job because it is boring and driving you mad, quietly and slowly, is a perfectly good reason. Don't sit around in a bad job just because it is the easiest thing to do.
El sueño español....pero pudiendo salir a fumar 😂
what is the final conclusion on this but ?
Nope. Nada. Non. De rien.
It’s okay, he made enough money to retire happu
Ha ha ha. You never know
🙏🏻🙏🏻😄
the ending is crap - too bad
I think it’s about the relationship of human to God, people tend to be a good person or follow the rules only because they thought God is watching.
I’m confused? Is this a welfare recipient in the US?
So majestic, wonderful and excellent film. Great story and life-changing lessons. 🪑🎬👏
