"Arriving in the mining town Suttonville, after claiming the bounty of a outlaw known as Burt Craven, a bounty hunter named Blade (armed with a hatchet instead of a gun) is hired by the town's wheelchair bound mayor McGowan and his corrupt associate Voller to track down McGowan's daughter Debra who has gone missing. Blade is unaware that Voller kidnapped Debra and is secretly working for a group of outlaws who are looting shipment of silver from the silver mines that are run the mine owner McGregor. Caught up in Suttonville's affairs, Blade not only has Voller and the outlaws to deal with, he also goes to settle a score with McGowan (who was responsible for the death of Blade's father) and takes on Voller and his gang who are out to gun him down." "I absolutely love this film.
The lead actor, Maurizio Merli, is a handsome man and a decent actor cast in the role of the "Good" Bounty Hunter, with Donald O'Brien as the "Ugly" thief/wanted man, and John Steiner as the "Bad" villain. The acting is top-notch as far as Italian Westerns go. The cinematography is beautiful, the editing great, and the direction superb. The sets are great but shrouded in a mysterious fog that lends to the movies surrealism. This film is like a very Artistic Western Graphic-Novel!
There are a few things in the plot that make you scratch your head (what movie DOESN'T suffer this problem?) but overall I would rank this in my Top Ten Westerns so far...here is the list (only culled from films I have seen thus far)

We sure must have a different taste!!?!! But then I'm only 70. And haven't seen every western ever made, just maybe a thousand or so.
Superior spaghetti. Enjoyed it as much right up there with the best.

I really love spaghetti westerns and have been watching some recently this station has lots of them and just lots of great movies in general i really enjoy this station. I was born in 1977 i always liked westerns but i have not seen lots of these that were made before my time. This movie was a great example of everything i love about spaghetti westerns the characters the violence the stories and of course the music they did so well. I love the main theme they keep playing in this i think it is called wolf its very good and keeps the mood set perfectly. Thanks for the upload and introducing me to this gem and the lee van cleef ones ive been watching. This is a great great movie i will be watching it again for sure i highly recommend this movie to everyone and i highly recommend this channel if you like westerns you should spend some time here lots of great stuff. So thanks for all the entertainment you do good work and its appreciated.

This movie is fantastic and one of, if not the, last very good spaghetti westerns to be made. Beautiful cinematography, brilliant score and Merli showing some of the best acting he ever displayed during his all too short career. Shame it's so often dismissed as a Keoma knockoff. Similarities aside it stands well on it's own merits.

I Liked This Movie
Damn! They just really lost the art of making movies. This was so good! This new digital background stuff is ok at times, but ya just can't beat the on location real actors of the old days.
9:01 PM 12/18/2020 Friday Wow! I gotta say; that dude singing out those flat notes... "you're alone" or whatever he was saying! He stole the show (LOL). This western film had a lot of twists in different sections of the movie. Nevertheless, It was sensational towards the floozy-lady's bravery as she found real affection for Blade-man, even to her death. Now, for those dogs; they surely had a death wish to meet their maker. Overall, I'm always delighted to see justice carried out in the end. This one had a good outcome for sure - 10/10 and it's worth watching.

The plot of "buried up to his neck and left to be blinded by the sun" can also be seen in Japanese Manga "Space Adventure -- Cobra". What a classic Western film.
