A Man Buys a $2 Photo and Then Sees Who's in It.
For years he struggled to support his family. Now, he couldn't breathe. Was this historian joking?
He held the photograph in his hand and knew it had the power to rewrite history. It was a moment frozen in time. Could it really be the infamous icon-turned-outlaw's face? He could be wrong, and that would make him a fool. But if he was right, he had made a momentous discovery -- and he'd make millions. He knew the stakes were high, but he could never have imagined what events were about to unfold... and how they would consume five years of his life. Man

I love this story. It makes my heart very happy hearing that Randy and his wife didn't give up on what they knew to be true and, especially in these seemingly uncertain times, that is the core of the American spirit. Knowing someone to be absolute, certain fact whether from gut feelings or knowing in their hearts, epitomizes the Anerucan drive to stay true to ourselves and our beliefs. Well done WonderBot!

Some folks love to make a near-endless suspense story out of a 3-5 minute account. Not everyone shares your fascination with all the details. Glad the photo proved authentic.

Awesome story…….thanks for sharing…made me smile.
This long video reminded me of a time I went to an auction, winning the bid on a shoebox, that was chock-full of mixed photos, postcards, & letters, for a very familiar amount - $2! As a lifelong stamp collector the postcards & letters were my main interests, but I was really looking forward to going through ALL the contents, one by one! I was already planning my cozy afternoon, looking each item over thoroughly, & I was excited about it! However, a few minutes later when I went to pay my tab and leave, it turned out some never-identified, "unknown person," had stolen that shoebox of items! (It was a fairly small auction, being conducted out-of-doors, and NO ONE had either left nor arrived in the time between my bidding and my trying to pay up. No one, not a single vehicle.) That really irked me, but what made me the angriest was that the auctioneer tried to force me to pay the $2 I'd bid! Nearly every other auction-goer stood up for me, and actually "booed" that sleazy auctioneer. Later on, I wondered if it had been the auctioneer, himself, who'd "stolen" (hidden) that shoebox of items, either because he didn't think the bid was high enough, OR because he used that type of trick frequently, then forced the winning bidders to "pay up," irrespective of whether or not they got anything for their money! I've never been to another auction since; that experience ruined the whole idea of auctions for me. Memories; quirky, aren't they? Stay healthy, folks! 👋🤗

I'll have to agree that the length of the show crimps the entertainment however it is remarkably well done and professionally narrated. knock off 2 mins and you're a star!!
My husband and I grew up in So Cal and moved to Seattle as adults. Going through some old pictures in a Seattle antique store we found a picture of an old Long Beach California postal dept crew. Amongst all the postal workers was my husbands Uncle! Small world.
Some years ago a lost Rembrantd painting was found hanging over a couples couch in their living room.. They had paid just a few dollars for it. They had invited a friend over for dinner. At the last minute he called and said a friend had shown up unexpectedly. The couple told the friend to bring the guy. The guy walked into the apartment and saw the painting, ran to it and went nuts. The guy was an art appraiser. I forgot how much they got for it, millions. Photos existed of the painting. Another artist in New York bought some paintings because he wanted the frames. A friend saw these paintings. They were by a Texas painter named Onderdonk and valuable. My brother was working for the City on a garbage truck when he was in high school. One of the guys opened a suitcase he picked up. It was full of what looked like Confederate money. He gave some to the other guys. He thought it was fake re-prints. He showed it to someone who was able to identify it as real, he sold the contents of the suitcase for 250,000 US in the early 1960s. It's out there, you just have to keep a sharp eye out. Just within the last few years, Ford Motor Company was cleaning out their museum. They had 3 or 4 replicas of Karl Benz's first car. Benz had given it to Henry Ford. The museum rolled these replicas out to auction off. Some guy got to looking at them. One looked more worn and older than the others. Yep, he bought the lot for $50,000 dollars US. He loaded these into his stock trailer and was pulling away when the officials realized the original Benz was in the lot. They chased the guy down before he got out of the parking lot. Please, they said, can we have our Benz back. The guy pointed out that the auction ticket said all sales were final. And drove off with a priceless automobile.. To my knowledge, it hasn't surfaced. The ones you see on the internet are replicas.

I went to an art dealer with an old violin and a painting. The art dealer took one look at them and told me "What you have there is a Stradivarius and a Rembrandt... unfortunately Stradivarius was a lousy painter and Rembrandt made terrible violins."
That could, and should, have been three minutes long. I just went right to the end.
I enjoyed the whole story. I figured at a point it would be the famous Billy the Kid photo. People are just way too inpatient nowadays. You did good.

I know this story. The land where the photo was taken was a perfect match where Billy the Kid family's home stood. It was real. They stood in front of, where the shack, a known Kid gang property was. The hill was the same in the background, and the old tree in the picture, although bigger, was still there. Laying the picture over the picture of the Tunstall/Kid property was completely the same. ChaChing!! Money Baby!
That is very interesting, thank you for sharing. 👍👍💙❤

The story that's here is incredibly nice, but he spends twice as long as he needs.. I've never heard anyone who can take so long to tell a histore. Each sentence is repeated 2 times end several times. A 15-minute narrative can quickly be cut down to 6 minutes
