The Yorkie bar wasn't made by Terry's, it was made by Rowntree Mackintosh which was a company based in York. Terry's and Rowntree Mackintosh are 2 different companies. Where ya getting your info from?

You must try Nellies Diner on the A57, just over the Trent at Dunham Bridge. Won't be more than 30 mins from your house. The food is proper top quality truckers gear. Best full English in a static caravan award?!.

Hallelujah, finally an English breakfast with fried sliced potato's and fried bread, I really enjoyed it, a real bargain, everything looked so good. SPOT ON...

As a kid growing up in the 70s, those Flake adverts really were a big hit with us boys 😉.

What a fab vid. Loved all the adverts from back in the day when men could be men. Can't believe you ate all that food but that was the challenge, you kinda had to cos it was 'Man food' lol. Loved the Yorkie bit at the end 👍

Back in the day I often pulled into truck stops when traveling any distance because I could get a really big man food fry up really cheap. It seems that is still the case. If you had got that meal in a regular cafe it would have been anything up to twice as much.

I notice on the sign when the bar opens they sell LARGER. A larger what? That was a huge meal and at such a price !!

This has made me think of my 2 careers of extremes. First was in the military and all macho, then second training to become a nurse and enter a world of never ending drama…!!

What a quality breakfast enough to feed 2 people you can't beat a greasy spoon. You should have tow a trailer on the back of the Porsche have you had a CD radio fitted yet😁

Great vlog Lee nostalgia when my grandson stayed over on the weekend sunday morning i would cook a full English and he would say what are you cooking and i would say a mans breakfast so from then on he always asked for a man's breakfast. load's of stuff i can comment on but not got time to. but i have a shelf with a cherry B and a babycham plus other stuff i can just admire all the time. take care.

As a frequent traveller up and down A1 and sometimes visiting the pretty poor formal services next door, we will try this place, however I suspect we will now have trouble getting in there ! Great review.

Dear boy, you say you like proper tea and coffee but why do you drink it so piss-weak? Milky tea and those horrid latte thingies, you may as well drink a pink herbal tea or acorn coffee. On the tunaboat I ran in South America, one of my deckhands used bring coffee beans grown on his parent's farm that made a brew that was so thick a mouse could trot across the top.😋

I really enjoy watching your breakfast clips ,,, for the price you paid this looked exceptional. Generous amounts, and cooked perfectly, I would give it a 10 / 10 ,,, good video Lee.

Outstanding value that we simply don't get down here in Sussex. No excuse for some places charging a tenner or more for less than half the food that you had!

Going to have to try this place next time I'm passing. That was a quality breakfast. The scran on the truckers night freight ferries out of Holland was pretty decent, and it was eat all you want too. That was a breakfast that set you up for the day.

Love Diners like that., real "No Frills" value for money, and some in the case of this place. Sadly many disappearing.

Nothing like the greases spoons I remember as a 16 year old. A big fat bloke cigarette hanging out of his mouth. A frying pan that hadn't been washed since the day it was made and no food health and safety stickers. That was only 62 years ago.

I was an International truck driver for forty years and I am ashamed to say that the truck stops in the U.K. are not a patch on the continental truck stops. In the U.K. you will find that the Butty Vans do a roaring trade from truck drivers as they are cheap quick and there are no parking fees in layby's.

You should try a cafe called the lazy trout it’s on the A49 it’s been there years and always does a great full English.

I was a taxi driver in the 80/90's. You wouldn't believe how many guys were surprised. Also how many guys refused to get in my taxi. I laugh about it now but it was a real deal in those days. I once went to a working men's club for a fare, went into the bar OMG NO WOMEN ALLOWED! I was forced to say "I'm not a woman I'm a taxi driver!" All said and done, that breakfast was awesome.

This is my kind of place to have breakfast! Good food and good value. Fried bread is a must on a breakfast. My favourite review so far. I will have to visit this place. When Rowntrees were the producers of Yorkie and others like Kit Kat etc, it was a great company but taken over by a hostile action by the multi national Nestles in 1989 and has not been the same since.

The Bounty advert from the 70s for me ! I believe it was filmed at Fannyside Loch ( yes a real place ) outside Cumbernauld !🤔

Hey Lee! Hello to JB 👋 My brother in law is a truck driver and he’s a skinny thing, It’s not all fat bellies anymore. Thinking of adverts back then - aimed kinda at both - because the lady loves Milk Tray. Was gonna say shake n vac but you beat me to it. I’ve seen more van drivers, road and industrial workers picking up food to take away. It’s a good price for what you got. My local diner serves the exact same amount of items except don’t get the fried potatoes but get two toast And for a bargain £5.80. See the plate is rectangular so can get more on it and spread everything out, The plates at our diner at oblong for same reason. Great cheeky video. Take care 😘👍🏻
