New to sewing? Please note a few professionsl tips: 1. Some fabrics have a weave (called the nap) that the pattern design CAN'T be reversed. Meaning, the waist MUST always be laid out in the same direction. A blatant example would be velvet but other fabrics can have a nap that isn't noticeable UNTIL ypu have already cut & sew your fabric...thus ruining your project. 2. Also, sew your seams starting at the hem and sew to the waist. This might seem difficult to understand but it really does allow the grain of the fabric to lay and drape smoother. 3. Finally, clip your skirt onto a skirt hanger and allow to hang free for 48 hours. Why? This allows the fabric to relax ; you then can even up (trim) the hemline that has sagged longer in certain areas BEFORE hemming. HAPPY SEWING!

Так нельзя кроить. У вас получается разноотеночность по боковым швам. Встаньте к зеркалу и посмотрите. Крой всегда строго в одном направлении , если это шелк, блестящая ткань, велюр, атлас.

Увидев видео в конце - я поняла, что мадам имеет не просто стройную фигуру, но и плоский зад. Сижу и думаю, такой способ подойдёт на все фигуры, или только на худых? Мне кажется, если есть приличная попа, не в смысле толстая, а в смысле выпирающая, то не очень то такой крой будет хорошо сидеть.

@@Charodeika-Ekaterina Дорогая, я только что похудела, но шила из той же модели, когда была потяжелее, то есть когда у меня была попа, можешь посмотреть в плейлисте юбки. Так что этот метод подходит всем.
А если бёдра широкие, как рассчитать?
