Hi Josie, loving the vlogmas videos! Just to let you know one side effect of lash serums is stimulation of pigment which can lead to darker skin around the eye area. Prostaglandins can also affect the activity of the oil glands around the eye, leading to dry, sore eyes and thinning of the eyelid skin (making darker circles more visible!). Hope this helped :) xx

Seconded! I had an extremely bad reaction to the lash serum. I’d recommend caster oil instead. I’d lost eyelashes and the caster oil helped them grow back💕

Also high risk of Permanent(?) colour change as well … can turn green and blue eyes hazel and brown .. yes it’s true … changed mine .. stopped using .. even though lashes grew crazy lengths .. once you stop they grow normal(slow)

I appreciate the lash serum comments. As an eye doctor I’ve had a lot more bad reaction to lash extensions than serums but the serum risk factors the viewers have mentioned are real. I don’t see a lot of it however. Reactions to extension glue are very common. Reaction to serum and Botox are less common but they happen.

@@paulagaudet7528 - Will the dark look around the eyelids (by the top lashes) ever go away? I used lash serum for a year, and not its been two years, and my lids are still kind of red. Sad!

This is just the most delightful vlogmas yet! Is just so cozy and fun.

As for Christmas movies you must watch the old 1950s White Christmas with Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney. Worth it for the great fashion if. Nothing else!

I so much appreciate the ice rink and skating on a lovely winter’s day. It is my favourite activity, living in Toronto where it is pretty much winter from November to March. I can see the ice rink from my office window at Toronto City Hall. It’s free but everyone except for rentals❤️💕

Josie, the best Christmas movie is While you were sleeping….

Josie, I had that problem with lash serum when I applied it at night. Now, I put it on every morning, upper lids only, after I am fully awake, and let it dry, then apply my eye make-up. I think the eye make-up actually holds it in place, so that it does not migrate into my eyes. My lashes are twice as long as they used to be, and I no longer have any eye irritation.

Lash elongating products have a similar product to glaucoma eye drops, and although they are great for lowering intraocular pressure for people with glaucoma, they are very drying and irritating to the eye, also some of them can darken the color of your iris, and as you have observed darkening of skin around the eye.
