Living in America and a great fan of british comedy in general and David Mitchell in particular, and only in the past week have I learned this show exists. That is a crime.

You need to know a bit about Shakespeare and his plays to get the jokes, but not too much. They missed off the punchline here where the "posh boy" sees Kate and immediately forgets his obsession with Rosaline (as does Romeo in R&J).

Reminds me of the blackadder set and how talented those actors were. This seems okay but there is something lacking.

Until they find a way to stop audiences being picked up by the boom mics then laughter is here to stay. Maybe you should work on some sort of sound barrier tech?

+TELEVISIBLE The interviews with the cast say it was actually filmed in front of a live studio audience. Didn't find it too funny myself, but they say comedy can work better if you're watching with plenty of others.

just watched 5 mins of episode 1. Oh dear. I love Ben Elton and Blackadder, even David Mitchell has done sterling work but this is just dire andd not remotely funny.
