    Yep we have the smoke in my area. I live where Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota come together. The news talks about it everyday in their weather segment, and yes the sun looks red where we are at too.

    Also Trick number 2. 100 Amp breaker, I use Bussman breakers. But use it on the Positive cable. Because they wont shut down if you dont. Plus have a shut off for the Solar panels also.

    check the foam pockets in the packaging. They usually stuff the battery Temp sensor in a hiding spot. You also got mixed up in the Video which one was the Net connect and battery Temp sense. The Black connector that says Classic 150 is for Net and the other one is for the Temp sense. But thats okay we make mistakes. Hope it works well for you .

    Like you say they rate the panels n turbines in ideal conditions not typical conditions, I've always seen rated power but only in just the right conditions , like you say you can expect a max of 75 to 80% in good conditions in great conditions cool with clear sunny skies I see maximum rated power , cloud edge effect rocks though you can see better than rated. Sounds like an interesting book.

    wow, i did not know french fries had egg in them..😋.. The new CC is a little more involved than your old blue ones isn't it.? .. and it is not just a matter of plugging the Cat6 into the CC and into your computer.. You also have to assign them/it addresses.. It took me a lot longer to figure that part out.. .. My batteries are already spaced apart.. On top of the losses from the solar panels you also have losses from the cables,, the CC,, the batteries and the inverter so you actually end up with closer to 60% juice to run what you want to run..

    G bear that smock is past New York city. It is even were you used to live here on the East Coast I was able to get out a little today the last two days has been as bad as were you are with yellowish red smoky sunsets. Something in the smoke has really been bothering my allergies. I read somewhere they caught close to 40 of those rioters and have been investigating them for Arson.

    You should see my cousin Seth's midnight system. He is running a micro hydro pma turbine. Along with a set of solar panels. His turbine puts out 300 watts steady. Not sure of his solar panels. He had it up since last July. It helped him out when Hurricane Ishasiz blew through the Caroliner's were he lives. He ran everything off his home with it. He has it so his electric meter runs backwards.

    I have a battery bank of 10 12V 70A each. can this charge controller charge them with no problem ? thanks

  • @GBear

    @GBear

    2 жыл бұрын

    Yes. The controller is limited by how much solar input it will allow, not how many batteries you have. You will also need to 'inform' the controller of your battery bank voltage. This is done by simply connecting the batteries to the controller FIRST, then connect the solar panels. Note that the Midnite Classic 150 will handle up to 150vdc input if you connect your panels in series, but is limited to 1200watts of solar by warranty.

    I enjoyed the video sir ! But with respect ! If you would clarify for me you're running a 12-volt system. The rule with the charge controllers was a 12-volt charge controller you can run up to 1200 watts of panel through it, 24 volt a little bit more than 2,000 Watts. On my charge controllers I'm running 2300 watts of panel through one charge controller an approximately 2300 Watts through a second controller I'm 24 volt. Have charge controllers changed in the last 5 years ? Best Wishes Always sir keep up the good work !

  • @deserthorizons

    @deserthorizons

    It is 1200 for 12V .. 2400 for 24V etc but it depends on how many "strings" you run as you can up that with more strings so long as you stay below 150V and 96amps total..
