Well done Jen. I totally agree, the more these model shops are advertised the better, and although buying on-line is advantageous you cannot beat actually seeing things for real first before buying, and I've noticed they have a little end-to-end test track so don't be afraid to ask to see something run first. The experience of wondering around a model shop is much more exciting than looking at photos on a website. Many times the photos on a website are too small, and sometimes you click to enlarge them and they go even smaller. This shop has been around for decades. It used to be downstairs in the precinct below another shop, so at least now its at ground level with an upstairs aswell.

Yes it's a great shop. Most have the test track for try before you buy 😁 good job sometimes as I have walked away from sales on dodgy runners 😁

Looks great. Yes we definitely should support our local model shops. I much prefer going into a shop and finding things rather than online. Sometimes you find those hidden gems! Thanks for sharing.

Wow I could spend all day in there! Thanks for sharing Jenny. There just aren't enough model shops like this anymore, it's such a shame. I live in the south and still make the trip along the coast to Gaugemaster every now and again, but so many of these places are disappearing. Hope you managed to get a few nice bits and bobs without spending too much!

Yes I have to travel to find good model shops...its a shame...I just hope we all keep using the ones we have got so we don't loose those!

The bachmann models are so realistic and great runners compared to the cheap looking Hornby models that have no weight to them!

Some of the newer hornby have more weight....but also more weight to the price tag 😁

It's not a bad shop although I would recommend 2 others to visit ,Rhuddlan models in Wales and the loco shed in Manchester both are bigger than they look with new and second hand stuff everywhere.

It's just their price stickers....however there are some with 2 stickers on where they are reduced down. Often bargains to be found 😁
