A look at the lives of Eritreans living in Uganda

Uganda’s hospitality and friendliness of her people have been lauded across the world.
This, coupled with a remarkable policy on refugees, has turned the country into a safe haven for foreigners.
They come to Uganda bringing with them new ideas, new skills… well and culture.

The main reason Eritreans flow to Uganda and other Eastern African countries is because they can't live in their home country because of a heinous dictatorial regime. Eritreans are very hard working, and smart. I left Eritrea a decade ago for the same reason, and am now already a US citizen. There is nothing worse than to live as a second citizen in a foreign country. Uganda and other African countries should start giving citizenship to their fellow Africans (just like the west is doing), and keep the educated brains from leaving. Thanks to the people of Uganda for accommodating my fellow Eritreans during their tough times.

Stop with the empty pride that didn’t get Eritreans anywhere other than to be enslaved by one man. Blinded by “independence” couldn’t see what was happening to us. @@terekab5883 that is a good mentality you have, if I understood it right 🤔😅, and all Ugandans should think like that, that is all Im saying to be aware and careful and protect the land and Ugandans thats it. Because Eritreans are in Uganda talking down on Ugandans and saying those things like they dont like Ugandans, they look down on Ugandans, wanting to take over Uganda, not wanting to learn the language and not wanting to connect with the nativ Ugandans and not wanting Ugandans in their shops in Uganda, throwing them out, beating them, calling the police on them with lies, just like the Chinese are doing or the white South Africans in South Africa are doing.

@@user-zc1cx8jc4sThe nilo-hamites must of been chased by the coming tribes from middleast who mixed with indigenous black Africans in Horn of Africa. Indigenous horn were pure Africans before bring mixed and look the way they are ( Somali, Sudan north, Ethiopia, eriteria, djabouti) these were all nilotic or Bantu looking people very long ago.
