Another video of Lappa During Lockdown. This time of Baby Deltic (class 23) ‘City of Derby’
The loco was built in 2003 by the Markeaton Park Light Railway where she worked right up to the parks closure in September 2016. The loco then moved to Lappa Valley. In February 2019, City of Derby was withdrawn for a major overhaul. Work including new bogies, fuel system, overhaul of the engine mounting system, full rewire, new dashboards in the cabs and full bodywork restoration - just to name a few jobs!

Great video, I can't wait to reacquaint myself Delly when I next get down to Cornwall. One thing I will point out is she was actually built by Joe Brown at Carnforth in 1995, originally numbered D5902 and much smaller than she is now. She came to Markeaton via the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway.
Had hours of happy memories on this and the little blue steam engine 😍😍😍

@@mattbarker581 I remember that engine but sadly to say lappa valley sold the little western and because of it being sold the little blue engine had to go as well. But if you want to see that little blue engine it is back at its railway in Newquay with a new red paint job. You won’t see it unless you are in the summer though but it will be there.
That is some overhaul - I wish her smooth service

No worries! Hopefully Ellie & City of Derby working on the 4th July in top n’ tailed mode. Woodland railway with the new engine Victoria open but Newlyn downs branch line with Eric will remain closed due to social distancing requirements.

Finley Carden it would be a bit much as I am in Kent around 6.5/7 hours away to drive but I will be going to st ives in August but it’s a bit far for me to go just for a weekend
