I am so excited to finally bring you guys a neighborhood tour of Queen Anne! It is my all-time favorite neighborhood, it always has been and always will be. What makes Queen Anne so unique is that it feels like a safe, suburban neighborhood- but you are actually right in the middle of the city! It doesn't get more central than this 10 minutes in any direction will take you to another top neighborhood, including downtown. Being on the top of the hill gives you sweeping views of the city and puget sound, and beautiful homes to dream about one day owning on Highland Dr. Queen Anne is home to some of the nicest restaurants in all of the city: Eden Hill & How To Cook A Wolf. It is without a doubt my top recommendation to consider to anyone looking to move to the Seattle area.

Yep. I live in Queen Anne. I am a 67-year-old native Seattlite. I grew up in another great neighborhood, Magnolia.
Monica this is SO well done - I've never even been to seattle and you've got me sold on that condo!!!
This was so well put together and interesting to watch even for someone like me who isn't planning on moving to Seattle but rather sees this as places I could visit when I come to Seattle during my travels 🙂 Well done Monica and your DP 😎👍🏻
This was a good job Monica! I lived in Queen Anne on Taylor street in the late 90's. Sometimes I drive around and see all the changes, but those beautiful homes still keeping it special for sure!
even though I have no current plans to move to Seattle (have visited 2x though), I love your editing style, and just how you capture the beauty of Queen Anne!
well-produced as always; we love your real estate agent era ✨
Lower Queen Anne was officially renamed Uptown last year for a reason. It’s definitely not as safe or charming as (upper) Queen Anne. It’s the more “affordable” choice though.

I have lived in Uptown/LQA for over a year and a half and other than my car window being broken once I have had absolutely no issues. My friends who live in Ballard and Fremont and Phinney Ridge even comment on how cute and quiet my street is. I regularly get home in the middle of the night and find street parking and feel 1000% safe walking back to my apartment.
Queen Anne is beautiful. You should do a video on Alki beach
The gray craftsman is an absolute dream. ♥
Loved seeing this video on Queen Anne. It’s a cool idea for a video series where you cover different neighborhoods I used to live in West Seattle just off California Ave. honestly it was great! Very cozy, suburb feel with lots of cute shops and restaurants. Very walkable neighborhood, plus the water views over Alki beach were *chefs kiss*…and when the west Seattle bridge was open it was also just a skip into the heart of the city.
Love your videos tho. Look forward to seeing them every week!!
I am renting a $1500 apartment in Queen Anne and the walkability is really good. I agree, it’s mostly if you want to leave the neighborhood or at least the main areas that make it more difficult. But it’s right in the middle of Seattle, super short drive to downtown and everything like that. I think it’s also one of the safer neighborhoods.
I’ve been working in the heart of Seattle for a year now and my perspective on your videos is so different now 🥺🥺😍
Would love to see more Seattle neighborhood videos like this one!
You showed a balanced selection of homes that are truly gorgeous!
Huh, I had previously guessed you were in Wallingford from your other videos. Queen Anne is awesome!
i love this!!! please make more!
that 1.68m townhouse was gorgeous
As a local I can say there is no chance in hell I would live downtown. No amount of money would make that worth doing.
Monica is right!!! I have been living 3 years in Queen Anne and I love it !!!! :D
Born and raised here in saddle but not too many people know this fact when the state of Washington votes local or national comes from upper Queen Ann I live in lower queensland uptown neighborhood love your videos
im sold packing my bags and leaving for Seattle 😍

Jesus is my savior too He had been calling me to move there and rn i have no way
My grandparents met each other at Queen Anne High School back in the 40s. Kind of crazy to think it's condos now.
Do Ballard next. I miss living in that neighborhood so much...
That townhome is my DREAM. One day
Love that you featured every single one of my favorite spots! I love living in QA, and am always popping into Ken’s for the wine 🍾 There’s also a great, brand-new, bar on McGraw called Bar Miriam, you should definitely check it out!

Exceptional!
I live in Queen Anne with my boyfriend and I love it!
I’m striving to get on this level 🙌
I love Queen Anne!
Dream neighborhood!
You always have great presentation on your videos. Do you know in Washington has good investment in raw land or lots? Example: buy and flip.
Beautiful!
Excellent description of the Queen Anne area real estate. Great audio level matching throughout. Well done!
Hi Monica, Thank you for this great info. I'm currently looking to lease a 1bdr apt in Queen Anne. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks in advance
Awesome and beautiful share
Hey Monica! Love the videos! I’m thinking about moving to Seattle, do you have any tips for someone who’s rental budget is $1500??
I actually live in QAHS, but in the industrial arts wing. The units in the main building are very cool, and some even have the old chalkboards! I have one of the decks you can see from the common deck, which, as she said, has the best views of any common deck in Seattle, perched right at the top of the hill. Curious, Monica, what you think of the price of dues? Do they seem high to you compared to other condos in the area?

The dues are high!
Seattle is a really cool city there are so many great places.
1:53 Parsons Gardens right behind you, a gem of a garden park which is awesome to visit!... or were you trying to keep it a secret? ;-) Also, Queen Anne High School was supposedly where Frasier lived in his TV show (though of course filmed in LA)
I want to visit Seattle !!!
I feel like a real OG vlog watcher.... whyyy do I recognize the stairs at 10:55?? hahaha
Affordable housing in Seattle is so few and far between nowadays. I left the area a year and a half ago after living north of the city for nearly 22 years. Still love my hometown city though
What are your thoughts about the current housing market? Doesn't it seem very similar to the market bubble back in 2007, 2008, but, at a much more serious level?
What about Magnolia? Do you think it's a good area these days?
Do you deal with Bellevue and just land property to build on Monica?
I love Two Kick!
Whoop! Whoop!🎉🎉
Absolutley amazing video, love seeing this side of you
Molly Moon's is one of my favorite ice cream parlors!
I'm sorry...was that a fire sprinkler directly above the loft bed....?
Portage Bay should be in the list of Seattle's best neighborhoods.
"First thing to know about Queen Anne.....$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Does your Washington RE license allow you to do deals in CA (i.e. reciprocity). Or would you need to have a CA RE lic to close for you and Shelby for RE investment properties in CA? Best wishes.
☀ sunside lol twin
You went there
I'm confused if you are talking about uptown area or not.
But what about the Airstream?!?!? Whatever happened to it??
I'm confused, I thought this was a guide to Queen Anne, however it has become a promotional video about your listings?
Oh god I lived in one of those old homes, avoid it. Talk to someone in construction before you think of buying one think money pit and talk to someone about if you can insure an ancient house. The rooms are small in old homes. So are the windows and the stairs. Instead buy outside King County which is cheaper with lower taxes and use the new rapid transit to get to Bellevue or Seattle. The north end is nicer than south of Seattle but it is cheaper in the South, but check the crime rate. I live in Lynnwood where I have shopping and a freeway to Bellevue or Seattle. Transit is horrible by car because of lakes and bridges forming bottlenecks. Queen Anne is expensive and views can be found everywhere. This isn't LA or someplace where a garbage pit is called a view. I always laugh when people say this is a view. Remember the rain in Seattle means mountains will be covered in clouds most of the time but the lakes and ocean are always there. Most of Seattle is steep hills in many places. I used to hate walking up and down around the zoo where I lived once and downtown will make you want an elevator
I just want something fresh clean new and not ridiculously overpriced. Everything else is overpriced
Can you do a Capitol Hill video??
Queen Anne is the most cramped part of Seattle no parking and the streets remind me of Tijuana. Imdont get how you guys put up with all those pot holes paying high mortgages .
Awesome video, but dang - $1.7m and you have to share a sink, toilet and shower with your kids? Nothing against the video, but Seattle real estate cray.
Why don’t you have a video about neighborhoods to avoid? The homelessness and drug problems are not insignificant in Seattle.

Seattle basically isnt liveable at this point. Ive never known a single person with a house in seattle, its all ppl in apts until they move to the nicer suburbs like mountlake terrace, shoreline, lynnwood or edmonds. The seattle “bad” neighborhoods are the south end and west seattle. The roads in Queen anne are also absolute dog shit.
Do videos on other neighborhoods. Queen Anne is getting tired. Talk about the north east side or cap hill. It’s nice over here.
If Amy Smart and Jane Lynch had a baby…
Nice video but I believe industry ethics standards wouldn't agree with a real estate agent pushing a single neighborhood.
As someone who just moved from seattle and lived in WA for 30 years, the best neighborhood to move to is anything outside of seattle, and realistically anything outside of the state.
seattle is riddled in crime. this is what we hear. please tell me theyre wrong

425k for a studio in that old hs is outrageously priced why would anyone pay for that. seattle has a horrible cultural scene in 2022 there's no reason to move there
Pretentious KZreadr
best Seattle neighborhood?........Raleigh NC, Nashville TN, Salt Lake UT you will get a lot more for your money. those homes they show you on QA? well the cheaper ones may be $1.5 but they are 100 yrs old, may or may not have re-bar in the board form foundations, may or may not have been built by drunk Scandinavian fishermen during the off season, probably still have utterly corroded galvanized plumbing and knob and tube wiring. The architectural elements on those old beauties which is likely punky and full of dry rot? well it is essentially unaffordable to replace as you will have to go to a custom mill like OB Williams that might still have the knives to cut some of those proprietary moldings at $25 a foot to start? unless of course you are another seriously overpaid amazombie. look i have been tearing these apart for 32 years and if you are really wealthy i would love to fix another one but the average substantial remodel on one of these is a 9 month turn at $1500 per sf. this is just an add by a real estate agent of course it's great......until you call us, then......well it's going to hurt. like NYC, SF, Austin, Boston it's off the hook expensive.
