@CorridorCrew would love to hear your thoughts on this. I see what looks like evidence of rotoscoping. 2 seconds into the clip a blurry line of color blending occurs between the top of the lion's shoulder and the jeep. 21 seconds in you see the lion's head cycling between crisp lines to blurry lines with the hair looking jagged. As he passes light colored shrubbery, it appears that the shrubbery is visible through his semi-opaque face due to feathering / soft matte refine effect, etc. and this is obscured by a suspicious patchy of blurry grass in (or placed in) the foreground that also looks suspiciously jagged in places. There are also issues with his right leg as he emerges from behind the jeep going from transparent to visible in a very "rotoscopy" way. Plus there is the fact that the only video is cropped to a portrait resolution and ends abruptly rather than capturing what happens next. I know you guys will analyze lens distortions or other aberrations I wouldn't think of, but looks so much like common rotoscoping challenges from my perspective. Over to the experts!
