A Level Biology Revision "Gas Exchange in Insects"

You can find all my A Level Biology videos fully indexed at www.freesciencelessons.co.uk/...
In this video, we look at gas exchange in insects. First we look at why larger organisms such as insects require a specialised gas exchange system. We then explore the structure of the insect gas exchange system, including the tracheae, tracheoles and spiracles. Finally, we look at how some insects have evolved mechanisms to increase the rate of gas exchange.
This video is aimed at the UK A Level Biology specifications. Students studying International A Level Biology will need to check their specification.

Hi dr Donnelly , I was wondering if you could do a level videos on immunity ? Antigen representation , clonal selection ,clonal expansion , hemoral and cell mediated and things like that anytime soon b4 this session? thanks a lot for everything you do

Hi there. Love your work. I have a question regarding aluminum oxide. What chemicals or oxides except cryolite, can reduce aluminum oxide melting point if you heat them together in a crucible in a furnace? I know this auestion is not in par with the video above but I dont have your email address. I will appreciate your feedback

Hi, do you think the exams will be easier this year, or are the grade boundaries going to be very low anyway?

for the IGCSEs anyway, the grade boundaries for this year are 2019 > x > 2021 (greater than 2021, less than 2019)

Hey dr Donnelly quick question would we have to learn more practicals like marble chips exct for rates of reactions and which from ur experience which practical will most likely come out ? Aqa chemistry rates of reaction

You should definitely learn the required practicals that are on the main focus playlists for 2022. Any other practicals that I mention in other videos are worth being aware of (as long as they are not in the "not going to be examined" list).

Hi Sir! My comment on the last video got deleted I think, it was a question asking about GCSEs. Do your playlists for 2022 Combined Science Higher cover EVERYTHING and every topic we need to know? Thank you so much if you can respond, love your content! 😆

Hi. I know that lots of students are waiting for that topic. I will be doing it in the very near future. I'm just making my way through the final AS chemistry topic (Equilibria). I have around five more videos to make on that and then I'll be going back to Biology and doing the Immune System.
