Tips for English Literature 1. Daily read the poems. You have 24 poems in your anthology. I know it’s really hard to memorize the quotations. So I used a simple tip for that. It was: I read 10 poems in the morning, 4 in the afternoon and another 10 before I sleep. Just read them as you read simple poems. No need to study just read. Do it daily. You will realize it definitely. 2. Write answers daily. Literature is all about the practice. You have to keep on writing answers by setting time. Write one context and one long answer for a day and do one question from the language paper as well. Literature is an interesting subject. Make it more interesting by loving the thing you do. 3. Prepare your own notes. In literature, we cannot depend on anyones note or any spark notes from the internet so it is very important to make our own notes for the poems and the texts. 4. Mark your own answer It is important to write answers as much as possible and you can mark your own answer to recognize the flaws you have. Note down the errors of one answer and try to avoid those errors in your next answer. 5. Work with your friends. Group working is mandatory in every subject. Mostly in literature because literature is a subject full of thoughts. Therefore it’s important to see the same text in different viewpoints. Share your thoughts about a text with your friends and let them share with you as well. English Literature is not a subject where you cannot get an ‘A’ pass. Don’t get discouraged by thinking that this is a complicated subject. Do your best and try your best to achieve an ‘A’ pass. I want to see so many ‘A’ passes this time.
