A-Kon 21. Puffy AmiYumi toys.
My Puffy AmiYumi toys based on the "Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi Cartoon Series"
that I got some years ago.
This video was filmed on Saturday evening at the first floor
of the Sheraton Hotel Convention Center after the
CosPlay Contest, where all the fans and CosPlayers as
you can hear in the background.
I bring these every year to A-Kon and AnimeFest, mainly because
on on year in 2006 when, I bought them and took to
local Dallas, Texas area Anime conventions...a lot of people
said that these were "SO NEAT" or "That's SO COOL!".....
They took pictures and such....
In 2007, when I was there...some people showed up saying,
"Hey, aren't you that guy with those guitar playing Puffy AmiYumi
toys from last year?..I want to get a picture of them..."
So I made an extra trip home and brought them to the
convention. People got their pictures and such and more people
saying, "Oh, those are so neat!!"
Many ask where I got them, thinking it was from the convention's
Dealers Room.
The truth of the matter is that THESE WERE ONLY available in
England (or United Kingdom). That is a real bummer to
US and Canadian Puffy AmiYumi fans. :(
These were made by the Mattel Toy Company. I don't know why
these were not sold in North America, the Mattel Company had those
other Puffy AmiYumi toys in North America as well as in the U.K.
The small "Rocker Toys" is the first time I brought them to a
convention. These are small and I have to be sure they don't
get damaged, the figures are designed to easily come off
from their stage..So kids can play with them. Again, these were ONLY available in England. Made by Mattel Toys.
I got these thru somebody in the UK that posted these on EBay, except for Ami guitar playing doll. Somebody, I knew that had an EBay account, bought these for me when
I found them listed there. Luckily, the people that
posted these items had it for "Sale Only" and not as for auction.
The large Ami guitar playing one I got from a dealer
in New Jersey that got a case of them.
Can't figure out why people in U.K. did not post these on EBay
as soon as they came out there....Since, any new Doctor Who
toy or item is posted by a dozen people on EBay when
they first come out.
Hope you enjoy the little performance display of these.
I WOULD REALLY WELCOME any comments by any
Puffy AmiYumi fans , Anime fans, or people at A-Kon 21.

Whoa, this is quite ancient. I’m honestly surprised that these things are almost a decade old at this point. I’m more surprised that AMAZON still has some of these in stock.
I'm generally surprised that Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi got some merchandise!

@acaae1 Thanks for replying on my posting. It was disappointing that Cartoon Network canceled he series...along with Teen Titans... :( There are some episodes that were filmed that never were shown in USA. The Cartoon Network's other channel of Boomerang has show all the older cartoons as well as Teen Titans and Justice League, Batman.. They have not shown Puffy AmiYumi...I am wondering why.

@TheNews1990 I do have the American toys. In fact the American toys were also sold in the UK. These particular ones were not sold in USA. Even though all the toys were made by the Matell Toy Company. But these particular ones can do stuff the others don't do. As you can see. People at conventions get a joy when they see these perform. One guy at a Dallas Comic Con saw these on a chair.He wanted to get a picture because his daughter liked the so much when it was on.

Well, I got these years ago..These were made by Mattel Toy Company and only sold in United Kingdom(England)......I got these when some people posted these on EBAY.......One person(dealer) in USA got the Ami ones first.I got it from him.I did ask him about the Yumi ones and the Little Rocker toys. He said he only had the Ami ones. So I bought it from him. I figured that I'd get the Yumi one later and Little Rocker toys later... Within, about a few weeks someone in England was selling them on EBAY. Still don't know why others in UK did not try to sell on EBAY as well. So I bought the rest from this guy in England..I bought these back in 2008, I believe.... If you want these...I suggest to check EBAY website from time to time..Once in a while one of these show up there... Also, try to find a toy collector's shop or media collector's shop in the United Kingdom somewhere..I am sure there is a place in the UK that would have these items in their shops... Again, it took me a many months back in around 2008 to get these.....

These do show up from time to time on EBay.......These items were made by Mattell Toy company and ONLY sold in England, during the time when the show was being made & shown on Cartoon Network. First, I found out that "Toys Are Us" in United Kingdom had them and they could ship them to you, HOWEVER they could ONLY ship to UK or Ireland addresses. :( I first went to my local Star Trek group and asked all the folks there if they knew of anybody living in U.K. that could have it ship to their address and then repackage & ship to me in USA..I would pay for all the costs of doing this. Unfortunately, nobody knew of anybody personally in United Kingdom. :( Then later, someone in USA happened to get a few boxes of the Ami ones and was selling them on EBay..I did ask him about the Yumi ones and he said he did not have them on Ami....So I bought it, I figure sooner or later I would be getting the Yumi one later. A few months later, someone in the United Kingdom started putting the rest of the Puffy AmuYumi Toys on EBay as sale only items. So I bought Yumi plush and the PuffyAmiYumi Rocker toys as well. That was back in mid-2009.... Again, these show up time to time on EBay.... I would suggest to find a "Toy Collectors Type Shop" in the United Kingdom that would more likely have these in their shop....Or find a toy collectors U.K. forum fan website of British toy collectors that can help you out. Again, these were made in 2006-2009 era and ONLY AVAILABLE in the United Kingdom.. You are not the ONLY ONE that has been asking me on these particular Puffy AmiYumi toy items... Suggest you try to contact U.K. area collector toy shops & toy collectors(forums & blogs) in United Kingdom to try to get your own set.
