This genuinely rose to be one of my favorite films. A film that has a lot to say without saying it.

It's literally just a hentai with a sub-par plot to say the least. The Artstyle and Jazz music were its only saving grace.

@@WhosthatHotspice the plot is definitely predictable, but I appreciate it taking itself seriously and there's a lot to think about especially on rewatches. I do think the uncensored version is the definitive version, but the cut version is also a fine way to experience it given it's only 6 minutes of cut content that many people understandably wouldn't want to watch. It's good for what it is, definitely not perfect.

​@@WhosthatHotspicethe writer apparently wanted to make a good story but only hentai producers were willing to give him an opportunity so yeah, its not just a hentai... To prove it you can see that the movie was published without the sex scenes in other countries. Nevertheless its still a meh plot, but a curious one at the least.

I CANNOT EXPLAIN HOW A SINGLE MELODY COULD TELL SO MUCH STORY WHILE HAVING NO WORDS SPOKEN, ITS SO BEAUTIFUL YET MYSTERIOUS. its so sad how theres so little information about the producer, even on his other works, none of it sounds as ethereal and alluring as this song. this was his best work. MY LOVE FOR THIS MELODY WAS “LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT”, ITS LOVE BECAUSE THE MELODY HAS BEEN PLANTED INTO MY BRAINS AND I COULNT GET IT OUT, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I HEARD IT, IT FEELS JUST THE SAME WAY AS LISTENING TO THE SONG AS THE FIRST TIME

Every single time this intro plays I start tearing up. The feeling it emulates has so much depth beneath it all with her conveying one quick and brief look to the camera. The best character introduction scene. Never fails to make me emotional 🥲💓

I love this movie but also kind of hate how it depicted the rape scenes

The sequel is so messy that I couldn't figure out whats going on and also it seems almost not related to what happens in Kite (more like a story in the same universe). But I read somewhere that the upbeat waitress with pink eyes in it is meant to be Sawa after the events of Kite
